We need to know what youre difficulty rating system is based on to give you accurate ratings.

My part installation level 1 might be your level 347.29

Just like your Guitar hero/brain surgery level 1 might be level 347.29 to me

You do not need any spring compressors, use Maven's way of removing the front struts and you are golden. Hang on I'll find the link for it.

Well after searching a little I couldn't find the thread. But heres how to do it:
1: remove center nut with vehicle on the ground
2: loosen lug nuts and jack up vehicle
3: remove wheel
4: remove swaybar bolt and lower strut bolts
5: put on new springs and trim bumpstops
6: reinstall lower strut bolts and swaybar bolt
7: remount wheel
8: slowly lower vehicle while guiding the strut back into the upper strut mount
9: reinstall center nut
10: Grab a beer and enjoy

Or for those of you who like pictures here is an install done in this fashion. NWAE TC strut install

the cobalt sc cant be lowered ne more than what it already is according to eibach, going with the sport line lowering kit, but the pro kit you might have a bit of luck. O verall if you are pretty mechaniclly inclined you can do it in 4 hours. The only two, well three you r gonna need a mcpherson strut compressor auto zone rents them for 50 dollars you get it back, you need a long breaker bar to break the center retaining nut, break the nut loose first otherwise it will make things very difficult for you, and take your time cuz the job aint hard, but if you dont watch out that spring compressor will bite.

for the rear, set the vehicle on jack stands, remove the bottom shock bolt from both sides, using your body weight, shove down ward on the brake drum, the spring will pop out from the top of the housing, all you have to do is pull it out, change it outwall lah, a ten minute job if that for the rear. You dont have to compress the rear springs.

not very hard at all, did it once last summer but the car justtttt isn't low enough for me yet so ill be doing it again in approx. a week and a half. Rear end is extremely easy, front isn't too hard look up the how-to with pics it made it easier. Especially if you have a friend or two, 2 jacks would make it easier and jack stands, very easy. I'm thinking this second time doing it probably less than an hour

Sportlines drop about 1" in the front and 1.5" in the back on a SS/SC. Ride height is just fine so you dont have to worry about scraping on everything.

Wrong, the pro-kit lowers the back 0.5". Sportlines drop even more to 1" front and 1.5" back.

And I seriously hope it didn't take you 4 hours just to replace springs....I installed my springs and my koni inserts into the front shocks in under 3 hours with no help or prior knowledge of how to do it.

Also as I stated before, don't bother with spring compressors, its a good way to get hurt if you dont know what you're doing. Just do it the way I described earlier and you wont have any problems or worries.
