Lsj rear caliper issues
Lsj rear caliper issues
I just had both of my rear calipers replaced because they were seized and wouldn't release properly. The new calipers aren't releasing fully either though. It's not an E brake cable issue
because there is lots of slack in the cable at the back of the caliper where it connects. Is it possible that they weren't bled properly or is this a common issue with LSJ rear calipers? The shop that replaced them changed the left one AGAIN under warranty and it helped a bit, but there is still slack in the cables and they are grabbing the rotors slightly when they are supposed to be fully released. Are the LNF rear calipers any better, or do they seize up a lot also? I may consider swapping to those if they are any better. SSBC and TCE Performance both make rear big brake kits, but I'm not sure if i want to drop $2000-$3000 on a full big brake kit (front AND rear). It wouldn't make sense to do just the rear kit because that would mess with brake balance, correct? It would also look ridiculous with my wheels!
If anyone has any ideas or a solution, fire away! Thanks.

make sure you lubricate the guide bolts that go into the caliper, i think that was my issue. then again i wound up replacing both calipers anyway, only 35 bucks each at vatozone. no issues since and my ebrake works!
I'm not sure if I should take my car back to the shop that installed the new calipers or try and fix it myself. Sometimes you have to do **** yourself if you want it done right! lol. What should I use to lube them up? Is grease too thick?
