looking to paint my breaks purple (i know someone did it already) but i looking to do it myself. does anyone know if i can use purple engine enamel? or does anyone know a break kit/ paint for breaks that puple beside g2, it more pink than purple here the link. G2 Brake Caliper PaintSystem Set

 

you can use whatever paint you want, just make sure you primer and clear it well.

 

Caliper paint @ Auto Zone should come in that color, as well as many others. Definitely the best stuff to use, as it's specifically for brake calipers. I would suggest pulling them off rather than taping, but it can be a pain. And I agree with scottie, applying primer and clear coat is an excellent idea. It will turn out much better.

The g2 system works great but just do any color other than purple unless you want pink brakes.



There's no need for clear with this system. It's all brush on and very simple. I might get another kit and go blue because my **** is pretty homo.
