New Brake Pads [Experience Requested]

Alright here's the situation. I've got top-of-the-line Wagner pads on my car now and they're utter garbage. They are dusty as all hell and chew up and warp my rotors like nobody's business and I'm getting sick of a vibrating steering wheel.

I want to replace my brakes and I am stuck between Hawk and EBC Greenstuff. Now here's the dilemma. I've looked all of this site and others about these pads and there isn't any information worthwhile on them on this or any other forum because this is what I've found: Hawk fanbois (nothing wrong with loving a product but to dismiss another because it isn't your favorite product is useless to those of us who need accurate advice) and most people use the Redstuff pads.

I need street pads not racing pads so Redstuff don't fit my requirements. Greenstuff, as far as I've read on their website and heard from people who use them are great, unfortunately, they're EBC fanbois and loathe Hawks without being able to give me good info on why EBC are better than Hawks.

So, bottom line, who has used EBC Greenstuff and Hawk and which is better, in your experience, and why? No fanbois please, I need to decide soon and I don't have money to waste on something that won't fit my needs, which are this, instant stopping power, without being hot and nice on the rotors.

If you're just tooling around on the street, then it probably doesn't matter, but I dislike EBC because I've seen multiple EBC equipped cars catch their pads on fire at tracks, or they crumble, or do other absurd things.

Hawk HPS or ceramic are solid choices for the street. The ceramics will dust less, but won't have as much bite as the HPS. Me? I won't buy EBC, ever.

Really? Now were they racing with green pads instead of yellow or red because that would be pretty believable.

Something to keep in mind if I do track stuff, thank you. I appreciate this.

I had hawks before. I don't remember which one but it was low dust, bit great, but squeeled like hell after not too long when stopping normal. If I stood on the pedal it would bebquirt.

bebquirt = be quiet?

Thanks for the input, I heard they are noisy too but noise > steering wheel shaking like a cheap motel bed

Really? Is that because of the noise? I don't do a lot of stopping short or aggressively, usually because of morons who cut me off and (like all taxi drivers do), drive with two feet but often most of my braking is gradual and light, part of the reason brakes last so long on my car.
