You should do the pedders springs if you want better handling than the eibachs. It will be about 0.5" higher in the rear but that helps rotation through the corners.

Well, the first drive with the OTTP Street bar was nice this morning. It was 42* out so I was being very careful because my OEM contis (16K miles on them) are as hard as rocks when it gets below 70* or so. First impressions are very good the car feels tighter and has no more understeer. It feels much more neutral now. Now I need my Pedders springs and Yoko Advan AD-08s and I will be in business.

I'm on Sportlines right now w/ the DC front bar as well and plan to get the OTTP Street bar and switch to Pedders springs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong(cough*Qwik*cough), but I've heard it will handle even better if you get rid of the DC front bar. Money from selling the DC bar could go towards Spherical CAB's or Powergrid endlinks...

My understanding is that the front end does work better w/o that bar and the better investments to improve handling up there are the end links and CAB's...

...I just don't have the technical understanding of it, only theoretical. Hopefully John can chime in w/ a response better than "I heard it's better!"

i meant to say "flex"

the DC bar was my first mod back in early 05' and has been on the car since 500 miles on the clock

I did notice some improvement back then, but i agree that it is only a show piece. But will i take it off...no

I decided to get the street bar. It is perfect for my needs. Feels so neutral now no perceivable understeer or oversteer.

The DC bar and TD were my first two mods back in the day, lol.

I understand about you not taking it off as I doubt it negatively effects handling that much. The only reason I'm thinking about tearing mine off, re-powdercoating and selling it is just to have better access for maintenance as I spend a lot more time in that area w/ the turbo there...

first mods were DC bar; then injen intake, then sportlines, then tires...all before 5000miles on my brand new car.

oh snap then remember when GM was rumered to have a stage 2 kit..LOL

if i could only do the modding over again, i would have saved so much money in R+D and had a sweet setup by this point.

yes and I am cranky and busy so no detailed why's. That will come just remind me. And yes the 1.0 makes for a nicely balanced car imho...1.25 less balanced on street tires, awesome on slicks. Its interesting how grip makes everything come true.Sounds like Edub, Term, Japetr and you got it suss'd pretty much. Carry on
