Pedders vs Sportline

Just any extra info anybody wants to give.. pics, ride quality, how much drop did they get??...etc

from what I've read pedders is the best performance wise but then the sportlines are the best drop and from what I've heard both are good ride quality?

Thanks

Better ride quality: Pedders (but very little drop)
Better drop: Sportlines

But I can tell you that I had the Sportlines and the ride is great! Really great! The info about the Pedders is from what I've always read on this forum. I never drove a car with them, so it would be better for you if somebody that has them can post in here.

If you're doing a lot of autoX go for pedders.
If you're just doing normal street driving and want moar low
Go with sportlines

Handling: Pedders
Ride Quality: Pedders
Drop: Sportlines

Decide on the relative weight of these factors and make your pick.

do you scrap a lot/bottom it?? idk how your roads are.. backing out of your driveway, speed bumps, etc

Go with sportlines
I HIGHLY doubt I'll be doing any autoX.. if anything drag race

Handling: Pedders
Ride Quality: Pedders
Drop: Sportlines

Decide on the relative weight of these factors and make your pick.
The performance edge would be nice(pedders) but would I really need it if I'm not going to do/use it.

[QUOTE=cobalt_sport08;6170003]do you scrap a lot/bottom it?? idk how your roads are.. backing out of your driveway, speed bumps, etc

The roads where I live here in NY are so bad that there are so many potholes and bumps that sometimes my car feels like it brakes in 2 pieces. With the Pedders Xa I feel them a little less, but still!!!! I don't know why the roadworkers don't know how to do their job. They can do a road from scratch, and in a few months it goes back the way it was if not worse.

On some potholes, I used to touch the road with the bottom of my car even when I had stock suspensions

The only damage I've got is the frame of the sunroof button falling down. But I can tell you that the car vibes a lot, a lot of parts of the interior got loose because of road conditions

pedders are hands down the higher quality springs. sportlines ride like total **** and will blow ur struts and shocks although they are lower than pedders. i have sportlines now and hate them but love the drop. one time i hit a bump in the road and the collision was so hard it turned my wipers and blinkers on for reference

I have sport lines and love the drop and ride quality. I'm running a 215/40/18 and the passenger rear tire is scraping the inner fender and cutting the sidewall of the tire on cornering at a decent speed. not sure why only the passenger side but I heard sportlines sag in the rear because it's a softer spring.

I have sportlines and I always take approaches to parking lots and the driveway at a good angle. I am running 225/40/18 for summer tires and only see rubbing on my front driver side fender well due to my RAW intake making fender bulge. The ride isn't bad but it could be better

I find my sportlines horribly rough. Feel every little crack in the road.
I'm going to be switching to pedders in the spring.

But the car is vibrating because of the roads that are worse than the roads where they drop bombs and not because of the Sportlines. On my other SS I've started having vibrations before I've changed the stock ones.
The Sportlines I also had them on Konis, and I never rubbed not even with 4 people on board. And yes, when I stop at 7eleven, supermarkets and places like that, I have to be at a good angle. But the car looks fabulous. The cars lowered on Pedders still have kind the same height and I don't like it, I would rather keep the stock springs.
Only one advice: whatever decision you make, don't make it because one is cheaper than the other (Sportlines are still cheap) but make it because of what you like. Don't spend 200 $ and stay unhappy not to spend an extra 50 $ for what you really like. Better to spend $ 250 and enjoy what you buy than spend $ 200 and have second thoughts.

When I got the Sportlines, I've got the package with the sway bars as well. Just I don't know if they are better because I've put them at once with the springs.
Only one suggestion to make your car look really great (if you get the Sportlines): because of the drop, the car will look a little bit like a train, meaning that the rims (expecially the front ones) are too much away inside of the fenders. Later on, when you can, buy the H&R wheel spacer. I have 15mm in front and 5mm in the back. If I could tell you that the wheels are so well aligned with the fenders without rubbing at all and looking gorgeous. Everytime I go out to smoke, i look at my car from an approx 45 degree angle on the front, and I can't take my eyes off for the whole time. It has such an aggressive look with the wheels so aligned!!!

Why not get Canuck Motorsport springs. They have better ride quality than sportlines and better handling than sportlines but also have the drop as sportlines. Basically they perform like stock and from what I understand sportlines perform worse than stock.
