I think thia latest batch of Pedders has some issues with the rear springs. I really don't have that much clearance before coil bind. Also they were wound so tight at the ends ( not round ) that they deformed the metal and plastic of the top bump stop. I had to reduce the circumference of the bottom bump stop and melt the plastic some to get tit on. Wasn't even close. Probably would have cracked if I tried any harder without the melting.

To top it all off, I pulled off a newbie move and snapped one of the front strut mount studs. Gonna see if I can sneak a better stud on instead of replacing the strut mount.

Just install them now, do the 5-bolt swap later.

How did you snap the stud? Which ones are you talking about? The pillow mount stud or something else?

One of the three studs at the top of the strut, hence strut mount since it's bolted to the chassis. I had a pretty crappy day, and got impatient, so I zipped the last three on with my Snapon cordless impact and then checked with a socket. It was already streched, and I snapped it.

Oh and there is no spherical bushing ( "pillow ball" ).

My arms are sore as he'll. I couldn't find my 24mm socket so I had to use the spring compressor adjustable wrench instead of my impact. It was as miserable as it sounds.

I know. Like I said, i was being dumb about it. My arms were aching from the spring compressor so I tried to short cut it. I normally tighten strut mounts by hand. I think they are universally easy to snap on any car.

I like the stance.
Im used to super low sportlines and i still think thats a pretty good drop considering how the stock setup is, plus handleing actually improves and ride quality is decent.
Cant wait.

It took me around a month, or 5 weeks to finally get my springs and spacers. It was SO worth the wait though. I love them and won't ever run another setup (unless for some reason I go to Koni Yellows or coilovers, which I doubt will ever happen).

It will be 4 months this week for me. There was some issues on the pedders end apparently. I'll hopefully see them this week or next.

Just found that deal for the SS/TC package/Pedders/rack spacers on OTTP and I'm almost set on it. The shop that I bought it from used some kind of red, ultra-drop springs(Sportlines? ebay?). They handled like ****, bottomed out regularly and my struts are done after only 10,000km.

Regardless, I drive on some terrible roads(Kingston, ON) every day and from what I've read this is the best DD setup as it sounds like coilovers are too harsh and wouldn't take well to the abuse for long. I don't autocross(yet). Would the Pedders coilovers do for DD, or spend the extra cash on power?

Already doing a trans, clutch and entire suspension because of my old setup and I don't want to leave any remnants of it behind. Off-topic, but has anyone found bump stops for the SS/SC yet? After checking, mine seem to be removed, rather than cut.

Pedders coilovers installed today!

After we got them on, we got busy doing another set of Pedders springs and a brake job on another car, so we haven't gotten a chance to fine tune anything yet. Rack spacers and alignment will be done soon.

Is there a trick to get the stock endlinks off? ...There appears to be no where to put a wrench to hold the bolt from spinning. When trying to back out the nut it just spins the bolt and the nut never moves on the bolt
