Please Help

My friend is trying to convince me that putting lowering springs on a SS/TC will make it handle worse than stock, which I obviously believe to be untrue. Any inputs, I am using lowering springs for the purpose of defeating wheel gap, but I want to settle this arguement. Thanks

It depends on how low and what the spring rates are. If they are real low and/or real stiff, it could be worse. Upgrading struts along with the springs is also something to consider. Shorter, stiffer springs will wear your stockers down pretty fast normally. Coilovers will work, but are usually pretty rough for street use.

The TC suspension is awesome from the factory, its really well dialed in for a production compact car. You change springs and youre gonna change the handling. Your new springs wont be matched to the damping rates of the stock shocks/struts. but it will be lower and probably stiffer, so youll think it handles better, just do it, since your not gonna leave it stock anyway
