question about pads

hey guys, I cant seem to get a clear answer while trying to look it up on google.

here is the question:

what are the 09 SS/TC front oem pads made of? ceramic or semi-metallic?

now I know ceramic are supposed to be quieter, and mine are noisy as hell. Im going to get new pads this weekend probably, and the lady is asking me if I want the OEM ones which are like 210$ or if I want the ac delco ones, which have a lifetime warranty on them and are only 130$

I don't know the answer. I do know that the stock pads, though noisy, are actually the best you can get for this car if you're not tracking on the weekends and maybe even if you are. Why would you want pads that aren't the best?

I don't think you'll find them any cheaper than this, and I am unsure what the stock pad material is.

alright, thanks guys. I think ill give the hawk hps ones a try, all I really want is the noise to go away, even If I lose a bit of break performance, as long as it still brakes safely and fine and DOESNT squeal, then im good

Looks like I now know what pad's I'm getting when I need to replace the fronts. Thank you!

Also, is that Amazon link actually the OEM ones and not AC Delco made to be like OEM replacements?
