R1 concept E-Line vs Premium

I would like some information about R1 concept. I need rotors and pads for my 2007 cobalt ss/sc.

I need something that is better then stock as an upgrade but I dosen't need a hardcore package. I drive it hard on street but I don't do any track driving.

I saw E-line brake rotors and I would like to know if they are a big difference between E-Line and the premium?

Would I be better with Premium rotors with Hawk HPS pads considering they are about double price of the E-line rotors with ceramic pads?

Would they be better for my drving style?

Or if you have any other suggestion!

I have the premium, I bought them over the eline for the sake of painted hats and rotor edges, so when I wash the car or it rains I don't have surface rust everywhere. Performance wise I can see them being similar though. goodluck with your decision.

Back when I had my 07 I went with the premium cross drilled rotors on all four wheels and the posi quiet ceramic pads. Still the best stopping brakes I've ever used. Better than my stock SS/TC brakes for sure.

So for my car now I ordered all four of the same rotor and went with hawk hps because they don't offer posi quiets in ceramic for the front.

That's the exact setup I have now. I dunno if my pads are shot but she doesnt like coming down from 140-150 very well. When I have the funds, looking to go with brembos on Powell's big brake kit

I've had the premium rotors (drilled and slotted) with Hawk HPS pads for 100,000 miles now. The black paint did not last long on mine, but the rotors and pads are holding up very well. I had their e-line rotors with Hawk ceramic pads on my Impala (totaled it 5 years ago), and they held up great too. I remember that the e-line rotors have a brighter silver color compared to the darker color of the premium rotors. The e-line rotors don't show as much rust as the premium rotors when it rains. Ultimately, I think the e-line rotors are made with a softer metal than the premium rotors.

The black stuff wears off, especially if you get them hot.
