Rattling and Brakes
Hey guys,
Here's my issue. There's this rattling coming from the rear of my car and it happens going over bumps as well as on the highway while set on cruise. I learned a few weeks ago that when I push on the brakes, the rattling goes away. After googling this, a lot of fingers point to the brake pads rattling due to some kind of retaining pin missing. I jacked my car up today, took the wheels off and I still cannot determine where the rattling is coming from. The pads are nice and snug.
Is there anywhere else I should be looking? It's hard to reproduce the sound just by banging on various areas of my car.
Stock 2008 SS/TC
Thanks
Ryan

I had the exact same issue.. Took the rear brakes apart and inspected pads, compressed pistons and greased sliders.. Fixed for like 2 weeks..
So then I actually changed the pads and the issue is solved for 3 months now!
