possible alternative rotor cobalt SS

I think i know of some rotors that might work on Cobalt SS.

Front brake rotors for Saturn L series are 5x110 bolt pattern and 11.388 diameter. This is 0.22 inch less than 11.6 cobalt rotors. In radius, this rotor would be less than 1/8 inch smaller than stock cobalt ss.

I am a saturn l owner soon to be a cobalt ss owner. I drive extremely hard and have thru many sets of tires from hard driving(including heavy braking). My stock saturn front rotors and pads have lasted 5 years. In that same time have driven 110,000km and gone thru 4 sets of tires. They never once caused brake pedal pulsation.
I replaced the front rotors myself with non dealer rotors and they immediately caused some pulsation on heavy braking. It could have been from non true suface(rusty) i put new rotors on.

Somebody should try and see if these rotors fit.

We have the Power slot rotors for the SS models (front and rear in stock). Also for the 2.2L ecotec front power slot rotors.

I found out something from our dealership. There were a bad batch of SS's (n/a's and s/c's where the lugs were all overtightened and that screwed up the rotors. That's why you'll have some of them being find and others are screwed up.

Mine were mad out of parallel. Alot of vibrations. They adjusted some stuff and cut the fronts.

The back rotors make this horrid screaching noise when I'm backing up and put on the brakes when it's under 30 outside. Grantid that's effin' cold, but I'm a valet. I drive freshly started up cars all day. and I've rarely ever had that noise before.

GM brakes suck. Period.

When I put the Motegis on, the factory tightened lug nuts were way beyond the 100 foot pounds it says in the owners manual. I had to break them loose with my 2 pound hammer. They would not budge with me standing on my big wrench and bouncing. When they DID let go, the screech noise made my dog jump and run. No way were they set at 100 foot pounds at GM.

After I got the lugs torqued to the correct values, MOST of the vibration went away but not all. When I get on the brakes, I'm still getting some feedback through the brake pedal so I'm wondering if my front brakes are screwed like the SS ones were.

I have 18 000 km on my Cobalt SS-SC and I had mine machined twice. The front rotors suck! The pad is a hard composite and the rotor is too soft. I'm looking for some nice cross-drilled rotors, but I haven't found any yet. Does anyone know if there is any out yet?

Uneek has a nice set. ExHondaMan has them and they look great still and he put them on a few months ago. I will probably be buying a set if the dealership doesn't do anything with mine.

on wednesday my car got this serious death shake. when I stopped to check it out, my car wouldn't roll downhill in Drive. I got back in and drove a bit further, and when I stopped, the back brakes were smokin hot. got it towed to the dealer. they said there was nothing wrong. About 450 km/ 280 mi. later I had the same problem. This time the fronts were hot, too hot to touch the rim even.Brought it back to another dealer, who couldn't find a problem either. Now the front rotors are discolored, and warped. has any one else noticed their brakes drag at all. This car has been on the road about 6 months, and has 30,000 km/ 20,000 Mi. on it
