I was just curious as of the perfect setup for handling on a 06 ss/sc..
(It's really hilly here in TN, and well.. Mess up once and it's pretty much over...)
I am considering coil overs(any give me a name brand that's the best?), dc strut, eibach sways (when it comes out), and new rims and tires.
Can anyone give me the..
A. Lowest prices for all of the above?
B. Combo to use with the rims and tires?
C. or any other advice?
D. Any new things I didn't list that I should invest in?

Well, i just ran an autocross bone stock and beat out quite a few WRX's and even a few S2000's and some BMW M3's. The car impressed me a lot as far as handling goes. You shouldn't have to do much to see really good results.
Yup I would go with coilovers. KW through Turbotech or someone. Only ones avail at this point.
Then get a 18x7.5 or 8 rim with appropriate rubber.
Look for strut tower braces as well. Those should probably be your first up grade.

then get the Torque forward rear tie bar. this and strut bar shoul be your first steps. Currently I'm pretty sure you won't find a coilover for less than 1.5k
I heard about an upgraded steering knuckle that GM offers, I would suggest this if you intend to do alot of Auto-X, and especially if you lower with coilovers

That rear bar is awesome. For the price I think it was one of my fav mods so far.
I think in a year or so we'll see some entry level coil-overs come out closer to the 1k mark
but after seeing how my car was just barely able to be towed at stock height I'm in no rush to go lower,, until I know nothing else should break, lol

And on the coil-over, maybe, depends on where you break down, and if you have access to a jack than can get under your frame,,, don't count on the car-jack to do that job after you get lowered
Try and do 1 thing at a time. This will helop you tune your car to your driving style. I would first do the coilovers or wheels and tires. Which ever you chose first, pick the other as second. Once you get all that settled, then decide if you need the sway bar upgrades etc. With these cars it's very easy to over stiffen either the front or the rear and then you'll hate the way the car drives. Take it slow and patient.
