Single pop/clunk

When I stop at a corner and take off while turning the steering wheel I get a single pop/clunk noise?? If I am going straight no noise. I have Pedders springs and brand new TC struts/shocks, Ottp rack spacers and everything is installed and aligned GM specs and double checked to make sure. Only two I can come up with would be endlinks or intermediate steering shaft. Anyone else have this and cure the noise?

Yea sounds like it would still be the cv axle on the drivers side.

bad strut mount? a knock in the front suspension could be alot of things from my experience. at any rate your endlinks would be easy to check and probably cheap to replace. I really like that pedder`s drop by the way. looks good imo

Is it a transfer of weight noise front and back. I just replaced tie rod ends(outer) with moog and had oval bushings tightened and fixed noise. By the way I'm still rocking lsj downpipe you sold me 395 thanks

I am getting the same clunking noise too. My car is a 2010 SS/TC and only has 6000km on it...and it has being doing it since I got it. I had my dealership check it out and they said it was fine, I am not convinced though.

I get the same thing but in a different situation. When I back out of my driveway and then turn my wheels straight I hear a clunking noise.

I had this as well. For me it was a broken wheel stud.
Looks like you've got lots of options to explore here.

Guessing that's what mine is. I know one of my lugs is loose but the stud is fine. Had had broken studs before though. Pain in the ass with these cars.

Yea i just got my car back from the dealer cause i was saying it was clunking at low speeds and first they said it was a broken strut but fine to drive on till the part came in. when i got it back they said they replaced the strut but its normal for the cobalts to make a noise from the front of the car. What bs why cant dealers be honest for once and say well we just cant fix it.

axle bind? i dont see rotated mounts or rack spacer in your mods list. would be good with coils, especially if you run them low

put the eibach front swaybar and moog endlinks in, and raised my car up 1/2 inch in the front and all the popping and clunking noise is gone. it wasnt the swaybar that fixed it. i think it was either the endlinks or the coilovers.

check your engine cradle bolts. mine were loose and it sounded like my car was going to snap in half every time the chassis flexed.
