Specific Suspension Statistics
Specific Suspension Statistics
I have seen a lot of talk lately about springs and the need for new struts or shocks. With Eibachs kit now available, I thought this might be a needed a thread.
Lets get some some specific stats on suspensions. What I'm looking for is the actual data of the Base Cobalt suspension, the SS (FE3) suspension, and after market products like H&R or Eibach stuff. Let's find the following:
Base model and SS model Sprung and Unsprung weights
Spring Rates and actual lengths of GM and aftermarket springs
Strut and shock rates and allowable travel
Basically I'm looking to make a thread that will provide some good match ups of suspension parts since lowering springs are a very popular product. To get things started, who knows the actual numbers of the Base model suspension to fill the in the blanks on this formula?
