Sportline spring questions????

I just installed the sportlines today....and I love the ride and look for a lowered car. But I seem too be getting a knocking noise from the driver side front strut???? sounds like the spring is loose??? And also taking a hard turn she rubs....???

Is anyone else experencing this? And is there any fix.....?? All in all the look is great...

Thanx for the help....

Join the club, we all seem to be getting this. I have h&r and i get that plus a vibration when on the gas. Its because the drive shafts are more level now. So far there is no fix, just hoping that we get struts soon and that helps. Do you get the noise all the time or just when you turn? If you get it all the time you might want to double check everything.Hope that helps alittle.

Not here.

I had a creak/groan come from the rear end of the car after it was parked but no front end noises. Especially while driving.

Everything tight underneath?

I have no creaks, or knocking. I would suggest having turn the wheel while you inspect or get the shop who installed it check it out.

On medium acceleration I get the vibration. I think it is more like a shutter. I wondered what could cause it. how do you know that it is the change in driveline angles. I would expect less shutter with less angles that is all.

i really wanted to lower my car on sportlines but after reading these threads it's changing my mine... I don't understand how lowering the cobalt can cause these problems. I've been in so many cars that have been lowered and never any problems. But I guess the cobalt just isn't made for it..

Mine would groan when the car was shut off once in awhile, but it is silent now. I experience no noises whatsoever either driving, going over speed bumps, or while sitting.

The ride is great and have never to this point bottomed out anywhere. No regrets installing them at all.

Like the car (springs) were settling. It went on for about 2 weeks only every now and then. Now it doesn't do it, so I am assuming it was just everything finding it's place.

Sorry for the late repley.....Me and my mechanic found out that the sway bar going too the strut on the driver side front bold/nut was loose this was causeing all the noise! We jacked the car up took the wheel off tightend the nut.....drove the car and no more problems everything is good. Car rides amazing for a lower'd car and handles awesome....but the lowered look on the SS/SC can't be beat!

Too some it up it is worth the money...I love it!

No issues with the sportlines here either, I love the look and the performance, I would do it again, but I do want new struts to compliment the springs even more,
