Post Which springs are better ?

i'm into buying springs for my cobie LS and i'm getting 18'inch rims and i have the complete ss/sc body kit and a 3"inch exhaust. what springs would be best for me, take into consideration the body kit and the exhaust, i don't want the body kit or exhaust hitting the floor ?

everybody is going to have their own tastes bro so prepare for an assorment of different answers. personally, i just put ssc springs on and love them. they ride as well as stock, but the car corners flatter. stance is perfect

Im going to say sportlines or progress but it really depends on the amount of drop you want as well as the price you are willing to pay.

id like to go with B&G now that i heard it was pretty good, and the drop aint too bad. But eiabach are rated really highly and that would be a lot safer

I got Eibach prokit--it dropped it a LOT. the ride is kind of rough (Utah doesn't know how to maintain roads), but on a track, it's a great upgrade for a few hundred bucks.

eibach spring rates are extremly high, and youd want to put a new performance shock to beable to handle them, with any spring for that matter you'd want to put koni's on em. really it all depends on the drop and ride quality, i've always found that B+G have given cars a nice drop without sacrificing much comfort in driving. i had them on my previous cavalier and that thing handled good. I have them on my camaro, and i will be most likely getting them for the cobalt, either their springs or full coilover kit. really if u want a nice size drop with out sacrificing much comfort then B+G is an awsome spring to go with.

go with SSC's. THere REALLY good quilaty spring. i just installed mine and it looks amazing. + there only 139.99. I think there the best spring for the 2.2 with larger wheels.

I have Eibach Sportlines on my 2.4SS. Ride quality is great, but in all honesty, I still wish the car was a little bit lower. I'm hoping my 19"s that are coming in the future will furfill my furthering need for less wheel gap.

Well under his user name it says turbocharged cobalt so if he is then the exhaust would be perfect.

I was thinking about getting the springs from progress but after seeing mkulrey13's pic I might have to reconsider Do you have anymore pics mkulrey13?

They drop too low for the SS/SC.

My vote is for Eibach Sportlines. I made and read a lot of posts before getting mine and I love how they ride. They ride the same if not better than stock. The don't lower the front too much, but the back evens out with the front. You don't have much clearance....but you shouldn't have problems with the SS/SC bodykit or exhaust.

it handles very nicely. the tires do have some vey slight neg camber but not enough to make noticeable tire wear issues. i am also useing stock shocks and struts
