SS/TC front pad upgarde.

its time to replace my pads and I've read that the HAWK HPS that i would normally run are actually a downgrade compared to our oem pads. I dont plan on running a Hawk Black or blue but would a Hawk HP+ be similar to stock? maybe a carbotech pad? i dont want to run something that is a full out race pad and dangerous on the street but i'd like something more aggresive than stock.

Stock is pretty much the bast pad. Great grip and the least heat fade. My stock front pads have gone almost 50,000 hard miles with no hiccups.

I'd stick with stock and maybe get some slotted rotors to help with wet weather.

That was my plan - to upgrade the rotors but stick to the stock(front) pads.

The stock Ferodo 1000s are great pads. Come on many different Porsches and other high cost sports cars iirc.

Not cheap by any means, I called Pro-Auto parts(off Haywood Rd.) and they said that the pads would have to be ordered and cost $178.00 - the stock rotors would have to be special order as well......l

Has anyone ran the stock pads on the r1 concept rotors. If so do the rotors hold up well? I've seen most people using the hps pads with thoae rotors
