it's not that it will actually be lower, but parking on certain hills looking at it from certain angles can make the car look higher or lower. I can show you two pics of my car in the same spot from the front and the back and you would think it was on 2 different sets of springs but the car never moves.

Its the same way with the Cm's for the HHR, the alternative for us is to buy the Cm springs for the Cobalt SS they give us about a finger of gap. Very nice drop.

Yep...I've got the Cobalt SS CM springs installed and I still have a little more height in the rear. It doesn't look bad though.

the cars lines also are raked (alot of nwer vehicles have raking in the body designs), if u look u can see the line runnin from headlamp all the way to the rear is raked. so even with my side skirts parallel to the ground it still looks raked . pic below shows what i am saying.

Well after speaking to a rep today at CM I was told that the spring rates for the SS springs are:

135 front
150 rear

and the HHR springs are:

240 front
160 rear

My question is would the HHR springs work well for a cobalt, the higher spring rates being better for handling? Or because the rear is so low would it not be okay? Maybe the cobalt front springs and hhr rear springs would be good.

It doesn't drop .5 in the rear. It's 1.5inches. I just installed mine. And I guess I got lucky because my car just about sits leveled. The back isn't much higher than the front.

Most likely lol. But they are pretty good springs. I recommend them. The ride is really good and it's a nice drop for the price.

I've been worried about this, I'm about to install mine today. I'll be demanding a refund if it is .5 because I also emailed them prior making sure they didn't change their springs.
