SSC Springs

I know there are many threads on the subject of springs and I have been through most of them. Just wondering if there are any pictures of the 2.4 on SSC springs, or any other springs for that matter. Most of the pics in existing threads are of the SS/SC or SS/TC. I forgot to ask, how great are the advantages of strut tower braces on the Cobalt?

Yeah but the detail oriented person in me (read obsessive compulsive) just has to see it with the body of a 2.4

like that, perfect

Are you running stock struts and if so are they holding up well?

yup stock struts and shocks. the whole thing has held up great, i just want lower which is why i went with the tenzo's. the only thing i noticed and its not just the ssc's is a clunk from the right rear. nobody has really figured it out though.

Is there really about a 1.5" drop with the SSC springs? I am looking to get a nice medium drop for every day driving and Autocrossing in the summer. I have never heard of the clunk, is it loud?

its not bad when you got the music at a decent level and yes there is about a 1.5" drop. for every day driving they are a great drop. still have to be careful over speed bumps and drive ways but i never had a problem bottoming out on our roads

SSC is probably the best spring for the money. They keep a nice raked stance. Not bouncy like sportlines or tenzos.

I forgot to mention that, I want to keep the raked stance you speak of so thanks for letting me know. For me personally, I do not want the car to be leveled out.

Tommy, that really shows how the SSC springs will not drop the rear end down lower, which is what I am trying to stay away from. Thanks for posting and nice clean TC.

No problem, it's a lot easier to see the drop with the camera level with the car and not eye level.

if you want a good idea on the front height, take a pop can and put it under the lowest part of the side skirt. on ssc's the can will just fit under.
