What is the correct way to install the rear coils? I have tried preloading the spring about an inch, but I have passengers in the rear it rubs like a mother! I don't understand why it doesn't feel as stiff as the fronts do. I adjusted my strut all the full stiff by turning it side ways, but it doesn't seem to be much help. I am looking to go just about flush in the rear. Does any one have pictures of what their setup looks like when installing? Do I need to jack up the spring until it sits on the stomp pad then adjust my strut and bolt it? Any help would be great!

 

You want just barely any preload on the rear springs. Just enough so they won't fall out with full suspension droop. Unfortunately the rear springs are quite soft and with weight in the rear it will more than likely always rub.

 

Did you free up the whole axle then jack it up from the middle of the axle until the springs sit in place, then lastly bolt up the struts?

 

yep exactly. make sure you adjust the shock height for just a tiny bit of preload

stance seemed to not get the spring rates right for an odd reason but like th motorsports said they need to sell to the masses and a select few. the rates are soft out back and stiffer up front which is completely wrong imho. these guys already gave you the answer your looking for.

 

Yeah it is really annoying how soft they are in the rear. I ended up getting some rubber stoppers that clip to the spring and sit in between the threads so if it tries to compress to much it stops it. Seems to be quite a bit stiffer.

does anyone know what size swift springs would work for rear coilovers?
