Strut bar ?
Well they bolt right up with no modifications.. BUT i have heard that they are really useless on the balts.. that you really dont notice much of a difference..
someone step in if I am wrong

someone has said that adding the front brace will give the car a more solid feel. cause your car has a lower brace stock doesn't it?
adding an upper bar creates a closed circuit giving better handling

on cobalts, its a cosmetic thing only. zero difference for handling, so the "best" is just whichever one you think looks the nicest
our strut bars we make in house and we have a shitload in stock and will ship same day if you choose to go with the GM strut bar we sell.
Shipping on SOME not ALL items is sometimes delayed due to the manufacturer not having anything in stock for us to readily get our hands on.

lol owned.
no but really, I didnt notice any big difference when I installed my strut bar, i did notice more of a difference with a rear sway bar. You can get them for almost around the same price. The rear sway bar will not hinder your ground clearance. Im on H&R sport springs that are one of the lowest you can get without coil overs, or bags. The install on both is strait forward and you can do both in under a half hours time with simple hand tools. Whichever brand you choose considering your driving will be spirited highway runs, or maybe a couple visits to the track will mean whichever brand you choose will simply be your choice and you wont see a difference between manufacturers. Hopefully this helps you out!

strut bar = useless on our cars. The strut towers are already solid on these cars the only reason would be cosmetic. Get the rear sway bar if you want a performance modification.
I have a strutbrace but its only for underhood looks

Theres been A LOT of discussion on front strut bars, and its pretty much all been covered.
It is my opinion that you will feel "something" with it installed. It wont be improved performance though
A: youll have spent money and very few people are objective enough to say "jee...I just spent $XXX and made my car heavier....this does nothing" SO youll feel something, its called placebo effect.
B: you will feel that your car is "more solid" youll feel this because youll feel a difference in your steering, and youll be specifically looking to feel something(because you just spent money) What youll be feeling though isnt reduced body roll(thats not possible) its not any seat of the pants noticeable improvement in handling either.....youll be feeling MORE VIBRATIONS. Yes the "feel" that people talk about is from vibrations now being transmitted from one side of the cars structure to the other, its got a new way to resonate. This IS NOT performance.
If you seriously believe its doing something like holding the car together while turning think about tight those little bolts go....think about how easy they are to break....think about how the bars almost always have slotted mounts....then think how some of these bars are FLAT pieces of aluminum....then think how could all those things together possibly provide a stiffer structure.
I think the round tube ones look racier.

well i thought i would put my two cents in since i didnt really read to much on why the strut bars are useless. pretty much the cobalts firewall works as a brace. the struts are almost right up against so you already have the support from the firewall.
