Suspension Maintenance

Hey,
Been on the forum a long time but haven't posted in awhile...I just rolled over 60,000 miles today . Yeah and I bought the car brand new. Anyways, I can't find any regular maintenance schedule for the suspension. What do I need to replace and when? Shocks, struts, springs? I am looking for a direct stock replacement and nothing crazy like $1k+ coilovers. The only thing I may go aftermarket on is the springs if they need to be replaced. What do I need?

Shocks and struts on stock springs hold up farily well. I think 90k typically. Not certain. You could have them checked though to make sure they are still OK.

Springs should last as long as the car.

Hmmm 90,000 miles would probably be equal to 60,000 illinois miles with the way the roads are around here. I'm looking at this page http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...sion-C188.aspx for replacement parts. So basically, looking at $200 for new struts and $100 for shocks.

Good advice from all but just front struts and shocks is what you need if the roads are tough. You cant do much about the suspension bushings, but at the front you should look at the top bearing in the strut tower, and the little roller bearing in a plastic housing the front spring hat rotates on...
