Suspension Mod List
Suspension Mod List
Hey Im a newbie to the forum and im going to be lowering my car so I wanted to see what others have done and how it benefit them. If you could list your suspension mods that would be great.
the pwrgrid stuff is made better; stock end links have plastic sockets and a very thin drop rod, they wear out qwik and flex in track use. Ppwrgrd is also adjustable for length, which can help if you have a "tweaked" sway bar that has not got equal height ends, or if youwant to preload the front bar for oval track use.
cabs eliminate distortion, which makes steering sharper in response and stops wearing out the outer rib of the tire during on track cornering.
cabs last a long time. stock bushings dont. the trade off is noise and harshness over bumps or train tracks.
Genuine Hardcore suspension and engine parts from Powell Race Shop include the orignial rotated mounts, cabs, rear bars in three sizes at reasonable prices pm me for details or email gloria@powell race shop.com

I dont know of anyone using them, most folks wouldnt dream of spending $500 on control arms. But if youre going to replace both bushings these would come out at a competitive price with the added benefit of being lighter. I think theres a fear of the unprotected spherical rear links
zzp make some good stough, but that flca tubular arm was not, it broke. They may re work it and offer it for sale, I have not heard on that.
I have both upgraded stainless shaft/"secret" non delrin non poly composite bushings for leading cabs and trailing all weather spherical cabs, and a complete spherical arm on a modified FE5 alloy arm - this piece is really trick with machined zerks and oil seals; myself and Steddy 2112 are the only folks using this last one.
More to come but it all costs money so consider that for most people just trailing spherical cabs are enough.
