SUSPENSION qUESTION.

i new to this I have always messed with muscle cars over the years. I got a a 09 cobalt lt and im wanting to lower it, can i still use the stock shocks because i hate to replace them since the car only has 900 miles on it. I am looking at th eibach pro kit so i was just wanting some points of views on this.

Just do it. Youll be fine, I dont recommend cutting the bumpstops like Eibach recommends though.

Should be about the same ride height as your Ls. Wow with the 18's on the gap looks smaller not sure if it because of the all black.
Do you only track the LS or both cars?

No, those blacks for sure are much larger. Mine are much larger diameter too 245/45-17 stock is 195/65-15

example with my aftermarket rims and stockers.
to get tire size multiply the width(245) times the aspect ratio(45) times 2 plus the height of the rims(17)
oh and for the In conversion there are 254mm in 1in.

245 X .45 X 2 = 220.5 / 25.4 = 8.68 + 17 = 25.68 inches.
195 x .65 X 2 = 253.5 / 25.4 = 9.98 + 15 = 24.98 inches.

Rotation distance(one rotation of 360* per wheel)
overall height times pi(3.14)
17's: 80.63 inches
15's: 78.43 inches

Rotations per mile(how many rotations a wheel does per mile)
5280ft X 12in = 63360in/mile
63360 / rotation distance
17's: 785.81
15's: 807.85

Stock VS Pedders on SS/SC w/ 245/40-18 This immediately after install. only drove 100ft to outside.Pics taken less than 1hr apart. Car sits high in back because I have no interior behind driver seat, and nothing in trunk except battery(a lighter than stock one at that)

Stock: Frt fender to ground 26 3/4" RR fender to ground 28 1/2"

Pedders: Frt fender to ground 26"(actually just under 26) RR fender to ground 27 1/2"

So drop = 3/4" front 1" rear.

Sorry for pics quality, hard to photograph yellow car with black wheels in bright sunlight with a black berry.
