Suspension ride height questions

Hey guys,

Not on here much but looking to do a few things to the cobalt here shortly as im about finished up on the Camaro.

Cobalt is a stock 2.4L 2006

My entire passenger side sits exactly 1/2 inch lower than the driver side... could anyone point me to what could be the cause of this? No accidents and the only thing that has been replaced is the front swaybar endlinks. Ideas?

Also, im looking to level the car out. I really dont want to lower the front end because I have enough issues scraping in parking garages and such already (which I have to use daily). Ive read a few places the Pedders springs level it out nicely, this true? I really only want to lower the rear 1-1.25 inches. Suggestions?

Last thing, what strut tower braces are you guys using or would suggest?

Thanks!

The passenger side sitting lower is a typical cobalt thing, pretty much all of them do that. I think it's so that it sits level when there is a driver in it. Pedders will lower the car a little bit, but not much, the rear still sits higher than the front, but they also greatly improve handling. Since you want to lower about 1 inch Pedders would be perfect, I think you would be happy with them. I wouldn't recommend a strut tower brace, they are a waste of money on these cars since the strut towers are attached straight to the firewall, a strut tower bar won't change a thing. To actually improve handling you are better off picking up a bolt in rear sway bar, which you could pick up from Powell Race Shop. If you're interested, send an Private message to https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/memb...e-parts-60246/. You'll probably want their street bar as it's a good bar to help improve handling on the street.

I'm hoping there might be some kind of Powell bar group buy this summer. I'd be all over that like a fly on ****.

I have this problem but only my front right part of the car is lower by 1.75 inches! :0 idk what happened it suddenly just looked odd to me so I swapped in a stock spring instead of the sportline and its leveled. But that's not right just a temp fix. What could it be? I was thinking of changing the spindle, control ARM, and strut to make sure the problem is fixed. Any ideas on what it might be?
