Go with another brand, ST has NO benefit for FE5 cars (SS/SC). They're basically only worth it for the FE1 cars (2.2 models), I don't even know if they're all that great for FE3 cars (2.4s).

And don't buy from that website.

Here, same product only from a reputable vendor (TTR):

http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=4910

Note they say in their description it's for base models only.

In all honesty, the hassle of replacing the front sway bar isn't worth it unless you want to turn it into a full-out road racing beast. Just go with the Progress rear sway and call it a day. I have it and love it.

I have suspension techniques. I installed the rear sway and it is great.

Just so you all know... none of those kits are going to be an improvement on the front sway of the SS/SC since all the aftermarkets are the same size... since NO cobalts have a rear sway, ST sways will work out nicely. Suspension techniques is a reputable company, and their customer service was amazing and fast when i accidentally stripped a bolt. I had a replacement in under a week for cost.

I would have to agree, get the Rear only by Progress. A lot cheaper, we also keep them in stock.

I read somewhere that the Progress RSB was only 19mm...being that it can be used for all Cobalts...the SS/SC has a stock rear with a 22mm diameter....That's why Ultra Rev (vendor) sells the Eibach front sway bar by itself; bc the rear on most kits are smaller than the stock ones on the SS/SC...and even the Eibach rear is only 22mm (same as stock)..so I'd say save money upgrade ur front from 24mm to the 32mm that Eibach offers and leave the rear alone IMO............

I should note that I would have gotten a progress rear but I got a deal on both the front and rear ST bars for just about as much as the rear progress runs. so I couldn't say no, especially since I would like to eventually turn my car into a "road racing beast"

some of the experienced guys were told by national champs that the cobalt is one of the few cars that benefit from getting tighter in the front. lots of racers unbolt front sways right before a race to have the body roll, but the cobalt is better suited for being tight up front.

I don't know, my Progress bar is WAY bigger than the stock bar. Plus it's IN ADDITION TO the stock bar, not instead of.

I think you misunderstood. If it's the thread I'm thinking about, they said to unbolt ONE SIDE and try it, see what the difference is. Plus it should NEVER EVER be done before a race. Depending on the tech inspector you wouldn't be allowed on the track if they happened to see a suspension piece missing.

To tighten up the front, I would suggest upgrading the sway bar links first since there's really no replacement bar available for the SS/SC as of yet.
