Sway bar link issues HELP!

I have FE5 suspension, i put h and r lowering springs and koni yellows on my car. It lowered me a good 3 inches in the front as well as the rear. I mean its slammed im like tucking tire. As much as i like the looks of it, im having problems with the stock sway bar links. Since its so low, the sway bar links will not allow the full travel of my front struts, i have lost two inches of travel. So every time a hit a big bump it yanks on those links and makes a bang. it already broke one of my links. What i need is a longer sway bar link to make up for the drop. But im not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions, like buying an after market sway bar kit. Would that work? Thanks

Shorter LE5 drop links or adjustable Powergrid drop links from OTTP. The LE1 links are longer...that is all

What are the Le5 drop links and the Le1 links? I know about the adjustable links. I noticed my stock links are 11.8 inches longs. And i thought they were 9.8 inches long. So i bought the 11.8 links thinking they were off of he Fe3 suspension. But they ended up being the same length as my stock links.

X2 on the adj. powergrid links or cheaper could be b+g for $100(also adj).

IMHO front eibach sway bar and rear. or ottp hardcore on the rear. but for the front eibach.

i have to get this before installing the front and the steering rack spacers.

you need this as well.

You need 10 inch drop links...shorter not longer..

you are so low other things maybe going on...but for sure LE1-3 links are longer than LE5, you need links that are roughly 10 inches long....It looks like you got the wrong sway bar drop links hope this helps

If you want you can switch to the moog FE5 endlinks. They are cheap (30 bucks each) and about an inch shorter than the factory FE3 links (what you have). Plus they have grease fittings on them which the factory ones dont.

Use a wrench on the backside of the endlink and hold it while you shoot the nut on. If its rounded then just surrender and buy the moog endlinks (they also have more meat to grab onto with a wrench)

If its not rounded, it should be a 17 or 18mm.

But yeah, go with the Moog links. 10 inch center to center, greasable, and thicker than styock.

yeah it's an 18, I just had them do it when they were doing the alignment today, I don't have an impact wrench, it went right on no prob, and the car looks great with the new springs I am very satisfied

I am having a hard time if someone could help. I have a cobalt ss n/a and have installed megan racing springs 2" front and 1.9" in the rear. since i have installed them i have a banging noise going over bumps. could this be from the sway bar end links needing to be shorter? ive greased the springs and replaced strut mounts but noise is the same. sound seems to come from the middle of the car in the front. any help would be great i havent found anyone with a fix or ideas:/ just confused since its not a big drop?

you can also email me at theryansmithproject@gmail.com
thanks guys

it is most likely the sway bar pillow blocks, cars up to 2006 ss, and 2008 ls /lt had single bolt fixing on the pillow block and need to upgrade to two bolt. thats as much help as I can be. Powegrid end links can be had from us or direct from www. powergridinc.com ask for Chip Minich and tell him I sent you there. cheers

No I have a 2007 which does have 2 sway bar bushings. Could the endlinks be hitting the lower control arms you think? I called powergrid and seems to be pretty certain that the endlinks are too long but it's weird that no one else has had this problem?

I'm also having this problem and I only dropped two inches in the front. Tomorrow I will be cutting a section from the middle of the links to shorten them and welding steel pipe back around it but first I'm going to disconnect them to see if it makes the noise while driving. It sounds like a metal to metal banging knocking sound right?
