Yeah even hollow the front bar is a pretty serious piece.

The rear bar even if solid would still be softer than the TTR

So do these bars have adjustments for them or do they just bolt up?

How does the Eibach 25mm hollow bar compare to the Progress 22mm solid bar in terms of stiffness?

Suspension Techniques also has a nice set. I have the front and the rear, just do not have the front installed yet because simply... I don't have the tools or the knowledge to do it on my own.

Is it really that hard? I know the rear is a direct swap, but I have no idea how hard the front is..

SS/TC is essentially same stiffness as SS/SC, Eibach is 69% stiffer

ST's front bar is same size as SS/2.4 bar(22mm), the rear bar is 19mm, smaller than even the Progress bar, as a matter of fact the Progress bar is actually about ~80% stiffer!

The front is WAY much more difficult to install than the rear. You have to jack it up, you have to remove the wheels, its like a 1.5 hour job under warranty. It can be done in your driveway with a jack and jacktands, but its not a half hour deal, including drink breaks, BS'ing with your buddy and swearing, I'd schedule 3hours for it.

I haven't swapped one out yet...according to the factory service manual you have to remove the steering gear too! Maven is that correct? What a %^$& job that'll be!

No you dont have to remove it, but you really should at least remove mount bolts, otherwise its a massive PITA, FE1 bars I usually leave the gear alone and just remove DP and rear mount, FE5 or larger.....remove the bolts, its not worth the extra effort just to try and leave them in them

Really? I didn't know that. I have a 2.2 so I felt the difference of the rear sway. My car is mostly daily driver but next year hoping to get into competition.

I got ST cuz I got a crazy deal. Someone was just looking to get rid of it and had never installed it, so I got both bars for a crazy deal.

Maybe I'll look into the other bars over the winter. You ever install a front sway?

I like Eibach as much as the next guy, but I cant say I'd use their front bar on a daily driver.(You put on an SS/SC front and an Eibach rear and youll definitely tell the difference)

Yeh I would like to get into a little bit of autocross and most of our highways and city roads are in fairly good shape. A little stiffer for me in the front might not be that bad?

So, the front bar CAN be done with a jack, jack-stands, basic tools and an afternoon? I mean, I can generally feel my way through most stuff, but I don't want to screw anything up.. Is there any pics or a how-to for it.. I'd feel alot better on doing it if so.. I really would rather not spend 100 for someone to install it..

Absolutely. You need to remove the wheels, disconnect(or remove if replacing) the endlinks, remove the bolts for the bar clamps, remove your rear transmount, and unbolt the steering rack from the frame(no need to remove it). If you really want some extra clearance remove the DP as an optional step.

This is also for an auto if that changes anything..

I guess I might as well replace the header/dp at the same time if I'm removing the dp anyway..

Automatic you pretty much have to remove the downpipe (or remove the rack)
