Those with Intense Poly Inserts

Has anyone recently installed the Intense tranny poly inserts?? They used to use JBP's poly which is a much firmer poly formula, but now have their own formulation which is a little softer to reduce vibes and harshness.

Ok to the point, I had them installed at their shop today ( nice facility, great service, quick install and welcoming staff, BTW ) and when I left there, I just about got an orgasm from all the vibrations, lol.. Oh the C.A.B.'s make a huge difference and the wheel hop is totally gone.. Anyways, I emailed Todd at Intense to see if the inserts could be reformulated to be softer than the current mounts, even the same hardness as the stock rubber would still be a nice upgrade from the factory equipment.... So my question for those who have recently installed these, has your vibes considerably or mildly decreased after a "break-in/wear-in" period???

On a side note, the shift quality got a little better but, 2nd gear still sometimes doesnt go in perfectly, does this mean I have a faulty synchro?? Its not bad though, just not perfect..

I just filled my stock mounts with poly, last weekend. The vibration are only bad for about 5 mins when the engine is still cold. After that it kinda goes away. I think they will get a little softer after you get some miles on them. I think mine have already soften up some in the 300 miles I've put on them since. First day I noticed my dash vibrating badly now it has not done it again.

I'm a little confused, are you talking about the CABs or trans bushings. I have both, and I know they switched the CABs from the JBP blend (always Red) to their own recently. But I am pretty certain that the trans mounts have always been the Intense blend (Black) as I bought them when they first came out

But, I personally love the INTENSE CABs and trans bushings, (especially since the JBP CABs I had went to ****, and INTENSE hooked it up on their new ones), but the vibes don't bother me in the slightest. I only notice them are at idle (feels like V8 lope @idle) and when I take off slowly from a low RPM, above 2000 RPM, I don't even notice it.

My intense tranny bushings (black) still make the car vib a little, but it was def mor noticeable at first. But then again, I've only put 2000km on it since i installed them, so it could get way better. And yes, the CAB's virtually eliminate wheel hop. I haven't even installed my traction bars yet, and i get ZERO wheel hope on burnouts. Nothing like the first day when i have the car, and it was like going over train tracks...lol.

The CABs help but they def. do not eliminate all wheel hop. They will get almost all of it on the street, But the track is a different beast all together. Also, when you start bumping up the power mods a little bit that wheel hop will come back.

I have no wheel hop at all anymore. But I'm running CABs, tranny mounts, Ingal's, and Traction Bars My Last Track Day I can actually even go WOT in first now once I hook up,, it's crazy.

If you don't plan on tracking it, then CABs and trans mounts will probably be good enough, but once you start adding more power, or launching at the track you'll want more.

Wheel hop= teh devil. It claimed my stock axles at the start of second gear last season

I think the TB's help more than the Ingal's. I don't know why, but my Ingal's has never really impressed me. The only advantage is that the vibes aren't bad with it, but I think a solid motor mount is 1000X better than the Ingals, IMHO, but the vibes will likely be worse

I have both, the CAB's and Tranny inserts, the vibes have already decreased a little since my first post I love the way the car launches now..

yeah well the vibes are considerable for the first couple days, everyday beyond day 3 they get noticeably better, they are tolerable for me now so you'll like them, just let them break in.
