tire and service FAIL

so i called up my local tire and service shop and they said they wont install my eibach sportlines. i asked if they installed lowering springs and how much it would be and the guy said "honestly, we wont install your parts". wtf does that mean? like because i didnt buy from them they wont do it? i didnt even ask if they would transfer my tpms either because id probably get the same answer. now idk for a SERVICE center they should provide a service asked am i not right? has anyone else has this happen to them or is the guy i talked to just a douche?

It is a liability issue, I work in the automotive field and if they arent familiar with the quality of the product they dont want it to come back and bite them in the ass.

see now that makes sense. i was just mad at the way he denied me without an explanation. should i take it to the dealer then? the dealer charges an arm and a leg to do anything though. i mean if worse comes to worse i'll do it myself but i cant do my own alignment anyway.

I wouldn't go to a dealership dude. Find a few members from here and let them or help them do it for you. Then go to a place and get your alignment. But for me personally considering there are a few places here in my area, i would rather them do it.

Yeah I mean think of it like this, you buy braided brake lines, shop puts them on, lines happen to be slightly too short for your suspension travel, strips thread on caliper, you die in accident cause you had no brakes. They get sued because it looks like they s tripped out the threads.

its like being a douche and not having anything constructive to say. not to mention being ignorant to the question asked which was the the whole point of the thread.

btw thanks tru2nrtt777 for answering my question.

Youre welcome and normally I am the douche who has nothing constructive to say . PM me if you have anymore questions. I did my own springs and honestly it isnt that hard, I suggest you do it yourself and save a couple hundred. Most places charge $250+ to do it. Depending on where you are in VA(if you feel like the drive) come down here I will do them for $100.

you'll have to take it to a performance shop to get them installed. tire shops around here won't do it either. honestly, just do it yourself man. very easy to do. you can even borrow spring compressors at auto zone for free. there are some great how to threads that will help tremendously. best part is, you'll save hundreds of $'s.

Is there no full service shop around you? If you follow the right directions it is super easy to do it yourself.

Congrats master of spring installs ....of course you don't tackle these jobs if you haven't done anything like it before without talking to someone who has first. I'm just saying don't be scared of doing things yourself.

any tire shop can transfer the tpms. they just have to be careful w/ it when taking the tire off and of course putting the tire on. make sure you tell them there is a tpms unit though or else they'll just break it right off.
