Want to lower, will 3in Exhaust cause problems?

Want to lower, will 3in Exhaust cause problems?

i have a 06 cobalt ss sc stock ride height as of now and im gonna lower her down the line

my question is will my 3in exhaust rub, hit, scrape speed bumps and anything that could happen? haha

i have Vibrant 3in Cat back exhaust

if anyone needs pic of how the exhaust sits now let me know ill post tomorrow

oh yea probably gonna go sportline or whatever u feel is the best

my resonater scrapes on my GMPP exhaust, which is 2.25 inches

It won't hit stuff, but it will probably rattle against the rear axle at certain times. Just get an extra hanger on it, and/or heat wrap the area/curve over the rear axle.

go with dr gas oval piping, 3" oval has the height of less than 2" iirc and you can get pieces that convert from oval to round for your muffler/other connections

I think you should be fine as long as you take steep hills/bumps on an angle. I'm on sportlines and I'm more concerned about the front lip scraping compared to the exhaust. I got a magnaflow, and the resonator sits pretty damn low.

yea i know im not even on lowering springs and i already hit the steep drive ways at angle, i drove a 01 monte carlo and they have long front ends had to hit those angles daily, thanks

it is only a problem when the driveway comes to a peak, i try to avoid them but some times you dont have a choice, but even then its only been very minor.

im lowered on H&Rs and have a hahn 3" exhaust and it hits on the rear beam.

the h&R sit lower than sportline hmmmm

I'm on Sportlines and have the Vibrant catback and don't rub anywhere and haven't even hit on steep driveways or big bumps I've rubbed in front but never my exhaust. You should be fine
