I think KYB sells adjustable struts, but obviously not for us yet. I would consider calling them first, but rest assured just wait a little longer and they will be out.

I have e mailed KYB and I have received no responses. I had KYB AGX adjustable shocks on my 02' Eclipse and they were awsome. They had 4 settings you could adjust with a screw driver in the engine compartment. The cobalt gets no love.

struts

I emailed KYB and got a response saying that they would notify everybody that had inquired about them when they are going to be available. I emailed Koni and was told that they are doing R&D right now and it will probably be a sport kit. That is exactly what I want so I can't wait.

Goddamn right we need struts. I'd prefer three way adjustable but any sort of decent metering/preload adjustability will do. Drop springs on stock struts aren't an acceptable substitute for performance suspension components. So until someone offers performance struts for Cobalts, wheel gap will continue to "own" me.

Guys is this what we will be getting from Koni? The sport kit looks to have springs also, if so that would be really cool.

Yeah it would definitely help. I have factory bump stops in hopes that will spare my shocks. I know that will be an issue with GM since I have Eibachs. for now I am careful where I go. I still love the sportlines and the dampening that I have. I just have little travel now. that is the price you pay. dampening is not going to solve this issue but dampening would be super for track days.

Right from someone at KONI

Currently the Cobalt is on the R&D and we are hoping to have something out soon. You can go to the following link and check the listing to see when these come available: http://www.koni-na.com/display.cfm?m...ubmit=Continue

Koni sports would be sweet!
And they dont come with springs as far as I know.
That pic is just to show that you can get springs for some cars from them as well.

I'm getting a hold of koni on Monday to talk with them about a time to get my car to them for testing their sport kit on my Cobalt. So hopefully they can get these out on the market.

Well got off the phone with Jay at koni shocks and i am taking my car to them July 18 for the test fitment of their shock struts. They said it will take about two days and when their done they are putting my sportlines on the koni's so i should have them in a bout two weeks . I'll give my review when i get them.

I am guessing this means we still have to get a set of lowering springs, the sport kit obviously doesn't mean a set of springs also. This is fine I guess I will go with a set of Progress Springs after all and the Koni's.

Well i'm not sure if they are going to fit a shock/spring kit to it our not but they just said when they were done they'd mount the sportlines on the koni's. When i take the car in i'll ask and see what he says.

The Koni Sport KIT is shocks and springs. The Sport struts are, of course, shocks/struts only.
