This is my tune.....mods in my garage

Thanks for any help
So, if you want to know what's wrong with your tune, I can give you a little input. I know jack about timing. My gig is fuel and air. Keeping that in mind, here is my input:

Your fuel tables are jacked. IFR, offset, adder, min PW...
Your MAF is also jacked. Sort of like your trying to make up for bad fueling by tuning air tables. Actually, now that i look at it again, it looks a lot like a stage 2 MAF. Your VE table doesn't look bad at all, which makes me thing you didn't tune it with the sixties. If you did, with the fueling tables you had, it would look all funky. Actually, it looks like one I've seen before, but can't remember where. Maybe like a smoothed version of stage 2... It is pretty high, but looks okay other than that. Does higher compression change volumetric efficiency? I am not sure, but my gut tells me it would...

Anyway, the biggest problem I see is with the fueling tables.

Thanks for the input......actually the tune was a INTENSE Stage 4 then i got it tuned by a shop. 34 pulls on the dyno and afr was looking great on the dyno sheet.....as soon as I put the 10.5's in that's where i started to have problems. I'm not sure what the tuner tuned but i felt less torque....but smoother WOT. I only made 250 HP with Stage 4 w/ CAI. I don't have the original Stage 4 tune (he over wrote it) so I cannot compare.

All in All.....that's why i want to try someone elses tune.......because i think it's the tune!!

If you like I can send you some fuel tables. They are not quite complete yet. I have a couple more tweeks to do on the adder tables, but I get no surging at idle (even with AC on), no rich decel or any of the other troubles that I hear about others having with 60s tunes. Area47 is running my fuel tables and idling at 750rpm with 60s.

First of all....thanks for all the help guys.... +1 again when I can

Alright I've done some runs and modifications to 3 of the tunes....Doc's, Schafer and a combination of the two with my settings. I Turned off my meth inj.

Doc your tune was smooth but was seeing some knock durring shifting. Fuel was burried....I don't even know how rich I was. Your timing steadly increased throughout the powerband (not my cup of tea). SC screamed! Daily driving was "Day and Night" compaired to my tune. Idled real good too.

Schafer your fuel was AMAZING!! I used your fueling with a couple of tunes. Smooth and steady. It's hard to rate your fueling because i need to adjust an entire tune to get everything dialed in to compliment each other. Your fuel tune would be a great area to start a good tune though. Again fuel (WB) was burried.

I used a combination of a bunch of tunes....the ones that worked best together....Both Doc's tune, Schafer's fueling and my personal adjustments . I have to take fuel away still.

I tried some of the ones Doc gave me...INTENSE and TAG I'll probable never use again. Reliability issues...but it's great to see what other people are doing. Like I said before I learn as I go....I just don't want to blow another motor. Thanks a bunch for helping. Car runs smoother but I know it has more potential. At least I know it's the tune!!

Now some nooob questions.......

o AFR % Error....what is is ?? I'm scanning for it but I have NO IDEA what it is.

o Where is the best area to adjust fuel?

o What do i do when VE airflow goes over 7k??

o What's the best way to cool the oiling system? Mine reaches 220 after a couple WOT runs

o Reading Boost on HPT...Mine never reads correct vacuum. Is there a fix for this? I'm using (sens.30.imp)-(pid.51)

o Final question. Is there any way that i can read crank HP through HPT (formula)? My scan guage reads Crank HP but would be good if i can see improvements as I go through HPT.

I will handle a couple of these. AFR % error is the difference between your commanded and actual AFR.

Do not adjust fuel. Adjust air. Start by tuning MAF then VE. There are many how tos on how to do these. Just do a search.

Is it ideal to have this as close to 0% as possible?

thanks for the clearification (sp)

Yes. +/-4 is the goal. I try to get within +/-2, but it's tough.
