2.2L Auto Just Tuned With GT Tuners

Ive been working with Vince from Trifecta for about 2 weeks now getting everything ready to hook up. Today I finally tuned my car with their tuner and let me say it worked great. Hp/Tq gains that you can actually feel from just a tune and also no more top speed limiter= one big smile... Any questions feel free to ask

Curious, why was the top speed limiter removal a big thing?

Your tires arnt rated for anything more.

For Turbo06Sedan:
I run on Falken 205/45 ZR17 not stock tires
For Jimmys2007CobaltSS/C:
I like in Brodheadsville, its about 1 1/2 hours from Philadelphia and yes they do

Do you have any Dyno numbers?

how does your tranny shift?

Where do you feel the most power gain? I personally find the most power loss with mods is down low?

do you gain any low end torque at all?

does the auto hold a different factory tune than manual 2.2's? I'm not sure why the tranny makes any difference when tuning the engine as I see no note of the actual tranny being tuned in the OP.

I dont have any Dyno numbers but it you e-mail Trifecta you can get a chart from the manual 2.2l they first tested it on. The tranny seems to shift alot smoother. The biggest gain is deffinatly when youre running full throttle. You can feel a little low end tq but for the most part its high end.

I dont think there is much of a difference between the manual and auto factory tunes but with the custom from trifecta the big difference is rev limiter and timing points

The GT Tuner just tunes the computer for a more aggressive set up then the stock tune. And Im not sure what you mean by "and you just happen to be auto"?

He means did you purchase a specific tune for an auto 2.2 computer or a tune for a 5 speed computer and hope it worked?

Oh ok... Its actually specifically designed for the car. I dont think there is much if any of a difference between auto and manual.

I was just asking what is the significance of you being auto since you mentioned it in your original post.

But since you did not get a tranny tune (you haven't given a solid answer here) transmission type in regards to this is insignificant.

Oh sry. No I did not get a trans tune. I believe that when I beta tested the tuner for Trifecta they just wanted to make sure that the tune would post the same results regardless of trans type.

Its a resister that goes inside your mass airflow sensor to tell the computer to add more air... I dont think it really does much if anything to be honest lol

from what i have read in the threads about the 2.2 tune by clear image is that there is not a tune for the auto trans yet. they havent started workin on that tune yet. they just got the tune workin for the manual and auto ecu and are selling it as is for now till they get time to work on a tune for the auto trans to go with it.

i think that has somethin to do with the trans tune so i would say no they didnt but dont hold me to that cuz im not 100% sure that is a tranny tune thing. but i never did see anythin about that in the other threads though.
