afr w 2.6?

so i recently purchased a 2.6 pulli and would like to run it on wensday when i go to the
track but i dont have a 2.6 tune for it yet. waiting for my tuner to send it to me still. i had
the pulli on the car for about 10 minutes just to see the difference in afr and with my 110
race gas tune the afr was 12.5-6 on the 2.6 (tuned w a 2.8 w a 12.0 afr). so my question
is would it be ok to run w this lean of afr or should i just wait for the tune? ill only run the
pulli when i get to the track and switch off when im done.

heres my mods : forged and coated pistons .20 over, clevitte main and rod bearings, arp headstuds, ported head,60#inj,aem wideband, injen intake, mid-length header, 3"catless downpipe, 3" catback. quafe atb differential, clutch masters stage 1 clutch, dualpass endplate w fmhe, aem boost guage, hptuners suite, b&g coilovers, ottp stg 2 rotated trans mounts.

If I am not mistaken, the AEM gauge would be more accurate. But I will let the tuners answer that one. subscribed.

you sometimes have to add a correction factor to the HPT for the scanner to read identical to the gauge. Believe the gauge as it is more accurate for you right now.

This should help with the wideband question: http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5059

If you're using race gas, you can run it leaner, but I would give it some cool down time after each pass because leaner = higher exhaust gas temperatures (egt's).

i am running race gas. vp110. . i give the car plenty of cool down time in between runs. the last time i was at the track my iat2s were 140 before i even left the line so
gotta give it cool down time.

well i diddnt put the 2.6 back on until a couple days ago. it was just to hot out to run it before.

so now i have the 2.6 on and im trying to get it dialed in with my pump gas tune.

first thing i did was make sure everything was reading good with the 2.8 tune(dd tune). it was running a little lean due to the weather changing. was commamding 11.8 was reading 12.2 . so i changed my commanded afr to 11.4 to compensate for the weather.
so now its back to 11.8 sometimes 11.7.

i go home swap pullies and take it back out. do a couple of pulls by the lake and afr is 12.1/12.2. so i took 12.2/11.4 =x and changed the maf airflow vs output freq from 6000hz up multiplying it by x. now its read ing 11.6 11.7 with a little kr.

heres the log

so since it was a little rich after the adjustment i copied the 2.8 maf back and re adjusted using 12.0/11.4=x

heres the log

so now afr is right where i want it 11.7 11.8. still some kr. and i noticed that my ltft was at -2.3 this time.

what would make the ltft change? i diddnt change anything but the maf adjustment. kinda confused.

any ides what the kr could be from?

Actually the IAT2s aren't that high in the second pull when it hits the knock.. what kind of timing are you commanding?

well i use to see well over 151 with my 2.6.... i live in miami... but ur timing is on the floor... 15 and 11* of timing... i do not recommend the 2.6 without meth..... u can make just as much power with a 2.8 and a good tune.... u might have a little less tq but u can run more consistant.... my $.02
