crazy afr's
crazy afr's
at idle my afr jumps all over the place. from 13's to 17's. my wideband is innovate's lc-1 and im logging it using hpt standard with the wideband hooked up through the ac pressure sensor. im not getting voltage from the ac sensor itself while logging, just the wideband. i dont think its just a wideband error because my car reacts to the changes. this is not the same as the surging idle issue. any help???
First thing is first, does the wideband operate normally when not connected thru the AC sensor. If it does then there's a problem with your wiring, probably a grounding issue. But I'm not sure.
If your connections are correct then ask.... Is this at start up or after the car reaches operating temps?
If its at start up there is a table that sets your idle depending on the temp, don't have my laptop so I'm not sure what that table is called. Basically your in open loop till you reach operating temps.
If it does it all the time, check to see if your in open loop or not by looking at the LTFT, if it always reads 0 your in open loop, check and make sure all the tables are correct that and it should return to 14.7.
If your in closed loop then there's another whole list of things to check begining with your STFT and LTFT, in the end it could just be a bad O2 sensor messing with the computer...

i double checked my wiring, looked ok.
im in closed loop, but i havent changed any tables execpt those necessary for 60# injectors (ifr, ifr modifier, min pulse, short pulse adder).
it also does this during cruising.
