I have a tune on there by Trifecta im switching to Hp tune an im trying to reload the stock file an it wont connect to the vehicle, i also tried letting the dealer reflash it with their stuff an they cant connect to it also, what do you guys think is the problem, could it be the black box? thanks for yall's help

The tune isn't locked, but HPT isn't compatible with our software. You'll have to flash back to stock before tuning with HPT. Be sure that you have the latest version of EZ Flash installed as well. Here is the link to the update EZ Flash - WOT-Tuning.com

Typically we can write entire over the Trifecta with HPT but it didnt work for this ECU. I have also been able to pull the tune and save it (even though I cant see anything) but it didnt even connect thru HPT. There is an issue if the dealer cant even use Tech2 to go back to stock.

Just throwing this out there. This has happened 3 times with me trifecta to hptuners. Full write didn't work and gm couldn't load anything to ecm or even see anything. Once diagnosed the issue was the ecm itself. So a new ecm was needed.....

I had this same problem. I had to take it to a dealer and have them use their Tech2 software to reflash a stock tune using a VIN from another LNF. then once you do that you can reflash a stock tune using your own VIN. then from there you can do HPT

That would suck if it was the ECU. It is seeming that way if HPT, Trifecta, and the dealer cant access the ECU.

I think im in the same boat as you.

I heard that Vince locks his tunes but according to the Trifecta website they dont and its an option by the customer, so technically it shouldnt be locked unless you say you want it locked. I really need my tune adjusted as im throwing multiple codes and i need a few disabled and theres only one trifecta guy around.

I might get a new PCM but will have to get it relearned iirc, but i will have a tuned trifecta pcm and tuned hpt pcm if i decided to do that.

reinstall your stock file. you ll have to force the tune.

open ez flash
you ve to select programm/force full flash then install you stock file from tft

He has tried, along with Dealer Tech2 and HPT write entire. All could not connect to the ECU. All fuses are good.

I have a ecu coming on monday that i ordered that should do the trick, when we first loaded it i did select the transparent option.

I dont have the trifecta cable. I use HPT.
