Psykotune VS Trifecta Infiniboost

Up for comparison in an 08 Cobalt SS that was tuned by me at 22psi. Then that same car back at the dyno with Trifecta's Infiniboost running 27-30psi. Surprised to see that the 27+psi made significantly less HP at the wheels than the 22psi tune that I wrote.

Mods to car are Hahn Intake, Hahn Charge pipes, Hahn Intercooler, and Hahn Downpipe.

Was it a stock turbo car? Might be because infiniboost is designed for larger turbo's. Also if this is the person I am thinking of they have not installed their datalogged tweaked map. Also your numbers are extremely low for both, you have them in STD corrected with 0 smoothing. I made more WHP with my superchips tune.

Come to use the Dyno I use. Would love to see how you do. My Dyno does read lower than average numbers.

I sold my SC tune months and months ago, I then was tuned by terminator with the HP tune, and now am using the trifecta stage 2 (Non infiniboost tune.). Only way I will drive up to scottsdale is if I get free runs I also ditched my Hahn CAI when I realized the airbox mod makes more HP.

(Before I moved here I worked at a dyno shop too)

Also post up a sheet with SAE numbers and smoothing on atleast 3, people will see this car isn't exactly taking to a tune well.

So I just got off the phone with the guy who was on the dyno, and that was not the highest that he made today.... seems like a bit of biased dyno posting in here.

every dyno is different. used for showing your gains, not an actual final number

Yeah it doesn't add up, mainly because they are not listing all the runs, and are just throwing random numbers up for self gain.

Oh, why thank you captain obvious. Just stating he is not the GOD of tuning he thinks he is...

I've gone to the same dyno each of my 4-5 dyno runs...

But I'm glad you told me that I would have gone my whole life thinking all dyno's were equal!

To where I am now... 353whp and 387wtq

so what if his tune is 353/387 at your dyno? just saying dyno numbers dont mean **** but if your comparing tunes and mods on the same dyno which is what the OP did its all good.

Nah, he comes in here with a I'm better than everyone attitude. It gets old... SORRY

People on here have made much more power, ON A WIDE VARIETY of different dyno's.

Plus I have seen what "HIS" tunes have done on cars... it's nothing special... most of them are down right horrible!

ive used the same dyno that steve uses and its a bit of a heart break dyno. ive rode in the car the car that has the infiniboost thought it pulled good was surprised how low the numbers were though. isnt there a guy on here claimin 330whp with this tune?

the only number that should matter are 1/4 mile times

did you get a stock dyno run to compare with your tuned pulls? i find its really hard to believe your putting down those numbers im mean ZZP dosnt even have those number with full bolt ons and ported head.

Yeah, stock was 258whp and 261wtq with 1800 miles on the clock... They aren't inflated believe me! There are plenty I have tuned, and using a similar tune putting down VERY similar numbers from NC, to KC, to FL.

Most of the big WHP numbers done through HP tuners is achieved through 1BAD's tune. Its the beauty of being able to share data. His numbers are not inflated, stock I put down 252/259

Terminator also has the same mods as you and is making much more WHP than you. It could be the tune you are running.........

what "more" supporting mods do you have than me...

Charge Pipes
Synapse Intercooler
ZZP catless Downpipe
Hahn Catback
Airbox mod with K&N drop in filter...

Only thing I am missing is a **** with your car intake!

Also a bit more detail on the tune you "wrote" psychosteve, from what I hear it was just a tweaked Hahn BSR Map....

I have been trying to tell people not to put these intakes on the cars, but people just like the pichooie sound
