say it aint so?

so i slapped on the 2.85 (have been running stage 2 pulley) on the 42.5 injectors. i was actually hoping it was going to be lean as **** because i have been patiently waiting on my harness for the 60's which will be here monday. low and behold the tune actually seems to like the 2.85 better than the stage 2. i have the commanded afr's at 11.8 and the 2.85 is right around 11.8-12.1 for the most part in the 50* air. can this really be? i thought for sure the 2.85 would be too much for the 42.5, but the wideband appears to indicate otherwise, ill get some logs to verify this, but does it sound reasonable?

i am on the 2007 version of the gm stage tune though, its completely different than the 05-06 tune. car holds 22* of timing all the way to 7,000rpm with no knock and my only cooling mod is an HE. pretty crazy when you have both versions of the stage tune in front of you and see all the differences

my a.f.'s are fat, 11 to 10 or less, from 2500 to 6500 with 2.8" and stage tune only, can't read my knock. 22,000 miles and counting, I just don't hammer it everyday, all the time.

I used to run a 11.9-12.2 on a 2.85 and 42s but that was tuned... your IDC's are going to be off the chart though!

very wise - if you are running anything smaller than the stock pulley

due to strict gm standards

some cars are able to handle timing better than others
that's why the gm tune is the way it is

It runs cars safe ... that's why hp tuners can improve performance

lmfao -- yeah when I scanned a guy I tuned I was ...and wasn't surprised

they have to put it that way otherwise $$$$$$$ down the line
unless some guy at gm said pick a number ... and the monkey said

I was pleased to see
when i plugged my tune they didn't go above
100 % ... I'd have to check again what the top % was

if ur injectors arent going static ur pcm will command a certain afr and ur car will do it (if tuned right) unless it just cant provide the fuel...changing pulleys wont lean u out if ur car has a properly working maf, a good tune, and injectors that can provide the right amount of fuel
