Trifecta ECP Tuning

Who all on here exactly is using the ECP tune? I have one sitting here waiting to get installed, but not wanting to do it if it is known to cause problems now or down the road. I can't really find too much on here searching.

Yeah its supposed to allow you to run any intake/blow off valve without affect your trims or throwing it into limp mode.

I have a fully optimized "regular" Trifecta;
I then flashed the ECP tune;
I went back.

I saw it running too lean on average.

Well, unless I've missed something, it's not officially released anyway - it's still in "beta" mode.

It will work with any intake, as it alleviates the MAF reading issues associated with most aftermarket intakes - but IMHO the ARF readings were a little too lean for my likings ~ and my "seat of the pant's" dyno suggested that the regular (optimized) tune was better.

BYT posted saying it was released and Vince gave it to me without any questions or statements so I figured it was. Hmm. Makes me second guess it

there's a thread here somewhere about this tune;
it isn't an officially released tune;
Vince will give it to you, but you have to know about it to ask since it is not mentioned on WOT-tuning .com or Trifectaperformance .com

BYT is posting again?

IIRC he seemed to drop off the face of the earth, and several people were looking for him for tuning... but maybe I'm mixing him up with someone else?

IIRC it seemed to want to stick around 15.2;
I saw it hover on average numerically higher than 14.0...
It has though been a while since I ran it s my memory could be off - but I saw enough to make me take it off after one weekend.

I don't generally have my car at WOT;
I just drove it normally, with the occasional romping...
I did also see a re-occuring stumble at start (from a light) as well as a funny deal on occasion when coming to a stop...

hmm. sounds idential to how I drive mine. I may give it a shot just to see if he has tweaked anything. I mean it should be "safe" for a month or so just to try it?

do you have the RPD? or an aftemarket AFR gauge?

I ask because I'd suggest keeping an eye on the AFR numbers.

I'm sure it's safe enough to run for a while... but I'd rather play it safe than sorry, so after I got back home (I flashed it before heading out for the weekend), monday after work, I reflashed it back.

I have the RPD. I need to get a cable of my own. I will be using someone elses to throw the tune on so Ill be stuck with it until I either buy one or drive back down (3hrs) or so. Im not really sure what my af is now. I thin its usualy 12.3 WOT and I wanna say 14.4 or so Idle/Crusing. What are the ideal numbers for those?
