trifecta and the Lsj.

I've been told and have also been hearing lately that Vince at trifecta is very very conservative when it comes to tuning the Lsj. Any truth to this? Anyone else have an opinion about trifecta tunes and the Lsj? All opinions will greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance css

yes he does tend to be a little on the conservative side, but that's not to say that his tunes aren't beneficial. If you want to modify it, you can purchase the option to have your tune HPT compatible.

I have a Stage 3 file from him. I felt a difference from my street tune compared to his instantly. My car ran so good with his file. I will re-tune in the near future hopefully. I am really happy with his work.

yeah there's a whole thread about it here. Look it up on the search bar. Better yet, look at the member pyros777. He's the one that started the thread.

That's exactly who I purchased my file through. He is so helpful. I would suggest buying a file that is tunable. You won't be disappointed.

Personally I think you would be better off with a custom tune from someone near you via hptuners. Whenever tuning with trifecta back and forth there is an increased risk, low but still a risk. For example if he increases your timing to much *even if he is being conservative*, you could potentially have knock that wouldn't be seen until he looks at it.

I would recommend anyone being tuned by trifecta to have a wideband and an interceptor to monitor knock/iat2's and your afr.

I have personally seen horrible trifecta tunes and I have seen very satisfied customers. It really just depends on the setup of your car, generally speaking the more modded it is, the harder it is to tune online.

I was born in Seminole, Texas but have lived in Canada nearly my entire life. I would if I were you get the Stage 3 file with launch control when they launch it and then get a reliable custom tuner near you to fine tune it.

My bad, I meant to say to the OP. I don't have many tuners close to me that I trust. I plan on going to OntarioKev

Bringing this back up since I am sort of thinking of a Trifecta tune. With the HTP compatible Trifecta tunes, are all tables available for editing in HPT or are some of them locked due to being proprietary of Trifecta? Also, with the GT tuner is it possible to save a copy of the stock tuner before loading the revied tune from Trifecta?
