TUNE SOON! what will i get?
OK.. so ive got an 06 ss sc with an aem cai, soon to have gm stage 2, and a bad mab header, with a downpipe and catback. dunno what yet but ya. what can i expect out of the tune? im probobly gonna go with trifecta for the main reason i dont know of any tuners around here and i dont wanna do it myself and **** **** up haha.
idk if this is enough information for people to help me. but basically im looking for people with a similar setup to tell me what they pull now.
thanks guys

well thats not very good. ha. how could that be true? i feel with an exhaust and intake the car would be pushing 215 or more as it is. how could a tune for bigger injectors, and smaller pulley only boost me 15 more hp. ha that blows. that wouldnt be worth the 500 dollars or howevermuch it is

and not for nothing but how would those be cheaper. the zzp you need to buy like allllll of the little **** to go with it so that it doesnt blow you ******* car up haha. if i remember right that **** was realllyyy expensive when it all added up. and ottp i havent even looked at there ****. but i couldve sworn they predict like 236 hp after the stage 2 kit they have when the gm stage 2 pushed wat? 253?

because my old car (06 ss/sc) made 238 whp with a trifecta tune, 60s, 2.8(which is smaller than the gm stage 2), heat exchanger, dual pass, full 3in exhaust, vibrant 4-2-1 header, catless dp, 3in intake...
my buddies car right now: 05 ss/sc 232whp with hp tune, 2.8, 60s, header, dp, full magnaflow exhaust, 3in intake, heat exchanger
so theres no way ur car with smaller injectors and smaller pully will make 240-250whp.....and 230 or so isnt bad at all man thats good for those mods! if you want about 240whp you shouldnt waste ur money on the gm stage kit and get a zzp stage kit or ottp stage kit cause they both have 60lbs injectors and a 2.8 pully..and you have no cooling mods on ur car hardly so thats gunna effect ur numbers that much more

ya. the only thing is if i ever sell the car i want a car that the kid that would probobly be wanting the to like and the parent of the little douche to not be afraid theyre buying a car that has been beat to **** and if it blows up in 2 days they are fucked. i like the idea of the warranty. the only thing i do not like is the fact that gm's stage 2 only comes with what? a 3.0 pulley? to big ha. and 42 inj? not horrible i couldve delt. idk. might be a deciding factor if i find out what id be getting with the zzp or ottp stage kits.

$319=ottp kit which comes with higher flowing injectors and a smaller pulley and the tune is better then gms2 tune.
So yes its cheaper and your getting more out of it. Also you can add a heat exchanger for $125 which still makes it cheaper then the gm kit.

and i was on a 2.8, 60's with not cooling mods for a few months and never had a problem with heat granted the temps were in the 50-60 degree range. If it was the summer I would be more worried but you can survive for now.

I am pleased with my ottp stage 2 even the canned tune I got was fairly strong. but I waited close to 2 1/2 months for it. Ive heard good reviews on zzp stage 3 too. So either one its up to you

i have the borla 2.5 and I like it. I know someone on the site who just installed his badmab header and it reduced his 60-100 so thats a good route to go
