VE Table.
So I have been tuning the MAF over the past week and I have dialed it in pretty well. To do it I set the rpm disable to 500 and re enable to 400. However im still getting VE data in my histogram I set up for VE tuning. Am I right to assume that the data im getting in the histogram is inaccurate?
You setup your ve histogram to log X-rpm range vs X-Map range vs a trim plot (or afr error depending on what you're doing), all of which is normally being recorded to begin with. Because of this, regardless of whether you have your maf, or ve disabled, the histogram will still be plotted. The scanner doesn't care what you have disabled in the tune. It only cares about what you have set to be monitored in your main table.

I have it set up to monitor afr error. So are you saying I can use that data to modify my ve table accurately? Because If I enable my VE table my care idles horribly. However If I leave it with just MAF it idles fantastic.
No do not use that data to modify your VE table. Once your done maf tuning disable it and then populate the rpm-map table with a log, then use that data to modify your VE. Be sure to get really long logs tho so you can see overall trends not just single time afr errors
100% no if you're using afr error with trims enabled. Fuel trimming will skew all afr error calcs being plotted. If you plot stft+ltft/2 then at that point you can use that data to at least get your ve table at least driveable and within a close enough range. After that you can disable the maf, set your dynamic settings to 7500/7400 and then disable fuel trimming. Once trimming is disabled, then you can plot afr error to adjust your ve fueling (or any normally closed loop fueling for that matter).

I appreciate the info guys. I have pretty much dialed in my MAF. they are only off by about +/- 2 percent. Once I move out to WA ill have some more time to smooth out my VE table. Its just tough to do because it idle surges so much and stalls a lot.
both, its on hptuners
I feel like they forgot to do some stuff, or didn't intend for him to drive it like that. Fueling looks like its still set up for e85 minus a few things. I'm just assuming they weren't done.

That was the base 93 octane tune they gave me to drive across the country ahaha. And Im back on E85 now just dialing in the MAF after fixing the offset vs voltage vs vac table.
