Here are a couple more quick pictures of the cars in the shop. We had some spare time the other day so Mitch went and put some new shift knobs in the cars.

Here is my Turbo civic with the hugely popular TWM Performance Piston Shift knob (excuse the ecu and wiring everywhere...I'm in the middle of doing some wiring fixes lol):

And here is Mitch's Skyline with the TWM Performance Classic light weight aluminum shift knob!

Hope you all enjoy the pics!

Don't worry, the car was very well supported! You have to be creative sometime to reach things in such a tight engine bay.

Thanks for the comments guys!

More parts!!!

Today Mitch went to the machinist with parts today. Everything looks good. We decided to go with a Nismo Oil Pump instead of the N1 Oil Pump because of all the bad gossip going around about the N1 oil pump failures. Mitch also took the flywheel today to get surfaced, looks pretty nice, we took off about .015". Here's some photo's:

Enjoy!

NEW UPDATE!

So the short block is done. The block was acid dipped, magnflux, honed, bored, and line honed. The pistons/rods/crank were balanced, then the machinist bolted on the flywheel and it was balanced also. I don't have a clutch yet so that wasn't balanced(can't decide on what to get, probably an OS Giken Twin Plate or ATS Carbonetics since a few people have ruined the Nismo Twin while racing, clutch is being ordered tomorrow!). The rods/pistons/crank are theoretically balanced for 11000rpm which this motor will never ever see EVER! The drain back at the back of the motor was ported hardcore, which is why I think the external drainback is useless (that is if you have another crankcase vent). The drain at the back is easily equal to 4 dash-10AN Lines in terms of cross-sectional area.

Anyways the block is looking nice and the head is going to be ported/flowbenched starting hopefully monday.

Here's some pictures of how everything looks as of now...Enjoy!

UPDATE!!!

***February 24th 2010***

So last night we got some work done on the build. LOTS of parts came in, Mitch got the head back from the machinist and now it's all coming together. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

This is what the valve covers, timing belt cover, and intake manifold are going to be painted with. Its a black wrinkle paint

Picture of the new/forged rotating assembly

Installing the ARP head studs

Head is on Here you also see the awesome Tomei cams

Nice porting job on the exhaust side which will allow for some great flow on the top end

So after a long long period with no updates, I figured I would inject some content into these threads In February, Patrick imported a very rare 2005 Volvo V70R from New York! He went to work on it quickly, with the following mods:

Staggered WORK VS-XX 18inch wheels
K&N intake
3 inch Downpipe
Full Sound system overhaul
Resonator delete
Elevate springs
Front mount intercooler
HDTCV
TWM Performance short shifter
TWM Performance M1 Abrams shift knob
51fifteen wheel adapters

This is what it looked like when he was finished with it!

After selling it in October, Patrick picked up this beauty; a 2002 Jet Black E46 M3. Mods to date are:

19 inch BBS LM-R reps
Hawk HP+ pads
Tein Luxury lowering springs
Straight headers
Magnaflow section 1 and 2 exhaust
K&N typhoon intake
Stainless steel brake lines
BMW short shifter
Alcantara shift boot
Cf front splitter
Hamman front sir ducts
Smoked side markers
Subframe reinforcement kit
TWM Performance Type R Black Pearl

As for Frank, hes still got both of his 84 and 81 rabbit project cars, but he picked himself up a 2009 Cobalt SS/TC to have fun with everyday!

Current mods are:
