I need two front door speakers to turn into speaker brackets for my SS since the shape of them is the same. I don't care if the speakers are blown as long as the brackets are in good shape, no cracked parts, etc.

 

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but the brackets for aftermarket speakers are like $12 a pair w/ free shipping on eBay. Finding a set of OEM speakers to cut up is likely going to cost you more than that just in shipping.

 

I am aware, I just need something sturdier than those for the speakers I'm using. My speakers are also 5.75" and I'm hopeful that cutting apart the factory speakers will leave me with enough material to mount my speaker to without having to use another adapter.

 

I've gone a different route with these front speakers. Try at the local junkyard....Check out Saturn Aura front door speakers. They have the exact same hook up....But....the speakers unbolt from the plastic housing. No need to cut and trim ! Works Awesome !!!
