Alright, im not bragging about beating a huge truck but couple people thought it was funny so thought id share.
About 12:30 last night I pulled up to a red light at an intersection and this 02-08 dodge ram 1500 pulls up next to me. looked like maybe a 20yr old give or take some with about 5 or 6 people in the truck, big ass crew cab blue truck, had some nice wheels. looked pretty good. he put it in neutral and started reving at me. light turns green as he was reving the light turned green and i left the light like normal bc he just stood there. idk if he had a problem gettin back into drive or what. but as soon as he got into drive he nails it and pulls right past me bc i wasnt racing. so he had like 2 1/2, 3 lengths. kicked into 3rd, then 4th and i flew by him.
next light turned red and i was turning left so i got in turning lane and he pulls up next to me, rolls all his windows down and him and people in the back start shoutin and stuff and hes like "it aint ****, it aint ****, it aint got nothing" and i just ignored him lol but my friend sittin passenger decides to start yellin back like "we just stomped yo ass"
anyways, the driver of the truck and a guy from the back jump out and start running over, as soon as i see em comin i hit the gas and ran the red light(being no other cars around) and water splashed all up over em ha thought it was hilarious.

just thought id share, it was great lol

dumbasses, they make truck owners look like ********. you would have won anyway, even if you were trying, i have an 05 hemi, the truck will have you till about 45mph, then its over.

If a Hemi Ram is pulling on even a stock SS/SC till 45mph something is wrong with the SS. My Silverado walks on Hemi Rams and I get railed by SS/SC's well before 45mph.

They must have been drunk or retarded. Why would they get out of the truck and come after you? A hemi Ram should have been a pretty easy kill. The new ones dont look like they are going to be if the published numbers are correct though. I want to see if they can really run 5.7 0-60 and a 14.4 quarter. I bet it takes a regular cab and special gearing to do it.

XD this ALWAYS happens to me, but they never get out. This is kinda funny you should try living in western nebraska. Let me give you an example. Last night it was me and a buddy and we were at a red light and and a chevy 1500 with a nock in the motor pulls up next to me and i look over some punk ass 16 year old cowboy staring at me so i decide to be a smart ass and nod at him. He takes off we hit another red light and he puts it in neutral and starts reving it and puts it back in drive he takes off and my friend said "i'm sick of this guy beat his ass." so i punch it in first bad idea on this road cause it spins but i catch up to him spinning then put it in second and blow him away. Don't get me wrong i love a nice truck but it's some of the people that drive them and think their hot ****.

oh yeah where i go to school is out in the country sorta and and just about all the guys drive big trucks and when we go to get out of school, i will be in line to get out bc theres around 400 of us in the parking spaces and they will run right in front of the cars and get right up on them thinkin they will move or get hit. and ill be like "dude im not lettin you thro, hit me and you will be payin for me a new car so go head" lol
but some truck drivers can just be big dicks

first gear in the ram is sweet, yeah, up to 45 mph its ahead, both Stealthy1ss and Gamebay11 have raced me, but now they both have stage 2 with 06black tunes, so i no longer can keep up to 25mph, what year is your truck?? i can beat GM with 5.3L my ram runs 14.8

Its a 05 6 speed. Its horrible to run a manual diesel at the track, but I do the best with what I got. I have dipped into the 12's but I was running out of RPM's about 200' before the finish line. I have a new tune and have beefier valve springs for the Spring. I hope to crank something in the 12.8's closer to 110 mph. I have a friend with an auto and very similar mods thats running 12.2-12.3's.

Here is a video of me qualifying for the stoplight drags. They stage you and they just go green. Thats why I was at the line forever.

So what exacly do you have done to your truck because my 2007 Silverado X-Cab 2wd W/T Z85 with the 5.3 runs circles around Hemi Rams.

Seriously, is all you do is talk ****? Out of all the truck races I have ever seen, the Ram 1500's with a Hemi always beat Chevy's Silverado and GMC's Sierra. My Mom has an 06 Ram 1500 with Hemi and quad cab and the few times I've driven it, I actually encountered a few races with Silverados and Tundras, and beat the Silverados each time. The new Tundra with the 5.7L DOHC v8 walk all over the Rams and Silverados. Maybe there is something special about your Silverado, but a 5.3 is a 5.3.

idk but speaking about trucks, my dad drives a 07 nissan titan, that truck is not what you would expect. its a beast, i absolutely love it. its super quick.

the tundra is good, but toyota is having camshaft problems with the 5.7L. I even heard of complete failures where the shaft has snapped into several pieces. If anyone with a Hemi has "raced" you, they must have left it in 4LO, cuz ive never lost to a 5.3L truck. I did lose to a 6.2L Escalade though, but it cost twice as much as my ram.

must be those 4.7L hemis

5.3's are nice, my monte has one.

I think they are in the same category as the Charger 2.7l hemi that everyone wins racing against.

The 5.3 in the Silverado is good at its intended application. Pulling a pop-up on weekends and getting 18mpg. Now the 6.0's with the right gearing is a pretty stout unit but it has to have the 4.10 gears.

Be careful racing trucks. You never know what you're getting into. There are alot of them around here that spray their way into the 12's or better.

That is what I'm saying, the few times that I have driven my Mom's Hemi Ram I havent lost yet to a Silverado or Sierra. The Tundra I lost to was by a couple cars. Those Tundras have ran 14.4-14.5 stock in the 1/4 mile. I cant see losing to an overweight Escalade, their big motor is nice, but with all that weight, they usually arent that fast.

It was a new pickup truck one, with the 6.2L, and it had some bolt ons too. Its got over 400 hp.

yeah, it is an ext, the long ones are ESV's or something, my brother thinks hes black and always talks about getting one on 26's or something. when i put 20s on my ram, he said they were too small.

How is that talking **** you meathead, when is the lsat time you seen a stock Hemi Ram run 14.8? As for why is my Silverado different it's a 5.3 2WD W/T not a plumped and pimped 4WD LTZ. Not to mention there is no way to tell if you tangled with a 4.8 or 5.3 unless you read the VIN or pop the hood.

Funny thing is klugsrt-4's parents have a 2006 Hemi Quad Cab also and I walked all over it from a dig and roll. So to put it in your own words a Hemi is a Hemi

There have been stock Hemi Ram's to run in the 14.8-14.9's in the 1/4 mile. And even if you did tangle with quad cabs or 4x4's, I doubt you would run circles around them, beat them yes, but not run circles around them.

dood i can circles around a twin charged AWD stang with my stock balt straight from the rental car place. idk what you guys are talking about. it can def beat a truck

Well they can hook much easier off the line than I can (wide 20's vs 245's on 17's) but by my 99mph limiter not one was within 2 trucks. When we are already moving it is much worse but still the funs over at 99mph. I ran a 15.29 with 47lb Scorpion ATR tires so I am anxious to see what it will do with my 37lb Goodyears.

i never said the 14.8 was stock.

it ran 15.3 @ 84 stock

then with exhaust, and CAI ran 14.87 @ 89 mph

its on 265-70r17, havent run it with the 20s on it
