No Mods. Pure Stock. And thats why im suprised. He was shocked. when we stopped and talked. I had no wheel spin gunning it in first from a rolling ten and he was trying to catch up after that.

I believe it man...I pulled away from a late model Ford Cobra on the highway yesterday...it was the best kill I have ever had in my life. I was in 4th and when I passed him I heard him dump the clutch, he got behind me...i left it in fourth, but ironically was stuck behind a SE-R that was revving its engine while the Cobra was waiting on an open lane to whip around me and show off, but I whipped around the SE-R and punched it while the Cobra was on my ass...I never switched outta fourth either and started pulling away from him, don't know how fast we were going but I hit the brakes for a minute and looked down to see that I was just then slowing down to 80ish...I was only paying attention to the tach, wanted to see that 7 grande before shifting into 5th, but decided I would have been going waaaayyyy too fast if I did that and that's when I hit the brakes!!! When he finally got back behind me again and I switched lanes to not only exit but to give him a nod and a thumbs up he just kept driving...didn't rev it at me, give me a thumbs up, or anything....didn't even look my way....he had the most pissssseeed off look on his face too so I couldn't help but start LOL..then I realized that if he looked in his mirrors as I exited he would have seen me laughing at him because I don't have tint, and that thought made me start laughing even harder.

Sorry so long but phheeww, I was excited about that one, it wasn't really a race I guess to say but he thought he was going to fly by me and never got the chance to even though he kept trying when I started to pull on him and instead he ended up embarrassed as all hell!!!!!

current mods on my 07 are: gmpp extrude honed manifold, gmpp performance Exh. and gmpp Stg 2.

Editsorry..not one to laugh at others...I was actually laughing at the situation of him having the chance to show off his bad stang getting ruined...that was quite funny)

Where have all of the Mustang fans gone?

I race my share of 99-04 GT's with the same results but was told by Mustang drivers that this was impossible.

I had a 2003 GT with a few bolt-on's and know how slow they are after initial launch.

The HP/TQ curves of the SOHC 4.6 are terrible.

haha good kill, just dont let allshot see this. He keeps chasing after the elusive gt and he just cant find a willing one. It is killing him haha. I think the stang fans have been run off because they now know their cars are slow.

you guys CAN beat those model gt's but calling them slow in comarison to an ss/sc is oh so ignorant... that is like an sti calling an evo slow...HOLY CLOSE RACE BATMAN. from a dig he should take you so how in the hell is the car slow? from a roll it's a different story, but from a ten roll, i dono, it should be an EXTREMELY close race. You wonder why mustang "fan boys" come in and talk ****.... seriously think about what you guys are saying. a car that has been known to run extremely low 14's stock vs a car that runs low 14's stock.....WOW the first one is obviously much slower

i raced a 02 or 03 Gt at the track, and lost terribly. it was running a 14.1 while i was at a 14.7. i had wheel spin, but even so, he was still considerably faster. i dont think i could have taken him from a roll. just my experience though. and nice kill.

I am not saying that mustangs are super slow, i am just saying that they are not nearly as fast compared to other cars that most (outspoken) mustang owners try to say they are. They are quick just not oh my god look at it go fast.

again that is a generalization and not true to all mustang owners and I dont want you to think that i am lumping everyone into the same bag.

Good ol' Cody.

This kill seems totally reasonable to me. From a dig in the 1/4-mile, the GT is capable of faster times bone stock, but take away the launch advantage, and the S may even have the advantage.

Either way, if both people can drive, the GT and SS will have some fun runs... and as you can see from other people's experiences, you win some, you lose some.

Nice kill man, damn good feeling huh? lol..

Yeah, I raced an 03-04 GT and from about 40, he got on it and I persued..I immediately started to pull on him and he shut it down. He then proceeded to pull over with his other Crustang buddy (90's, HIGHLY modded, messed with him first and he suggested me runnin his buddy) and he popped the hood and said he thinks he has a bad tune..LMAO!! He had K&N intake, exhaust and a tune. I chuckled, shook hands and drove away, got sooo excited that jack ass me missed second pulling away...lol

Nice kill!
Yeah where I live there are lots of mustangs around, so I get a shot at racing quite a few.... I still havnt lost to one....yet... and have raced a few 99-04 gts from a dig, it is pretty close, but I usally start pulling away around 3rd. I am getting really good at launching this car, I cant wait for the track to open up so I can actually see what I am running though. I have not raced any of the new gt's though, I dont think I will have a chance til I get more mods.
Has anyone raced a new gt?? I am just wondering what the results would be.....dig or roll??

Brand New '04 Mustang GT's were selling for ~$18-$19k... not $30k. Unless it was a loaded Convertible and you were a huge sucker, 99-04 GT's were nowhere near $30k. Oh, and Brand New Mach 1's could be had for $22k.

Where could you find a new model mustang GT for 18,000 the year it was released? You might find a USED one,.....NOW...for that much.

So far the only stang to "put it on me" was that Mach 1 in the vid posted up in here.

http://media.putfile.com/lithium-vs-mach-1

But that was before my full exhaust. I haven't even dynoed it yet so I don't know how much I gained, but it was noticeable. And I thought the new mustangs were slower, aren't they like 300-500lbs heavier than the old ones??? (i.e. 99-04 is like 3200-3700 and 05+ is like 3500-4100?)
