03 rsx-s vs. cobalt ss/sc

me with all the bolt-ons plus k-pro plus img...around 215whp tuned on 93 octane pump gas...race gas makes like 4 more whp haha...

well anyways i see this black cobalt ss/sc riding in low gear up and down the highway...so i kind of ignore him at first, then he does a gay little flyby...i heard an intake and exhaust but wasnt really impressed with the dull sound of the loud muffla....so anyways we pull out onto the highway and catch a clearing in traffic...i looked at him and he was looking back...so i gave him 3 fingers...he nodded his head...i honked 3 times and then we were off at about 30 mph (first gear for me)...i started pulling ahead and by the time i had a car on him he let off...cant remember what mph it was but after that he gave me the thumbsup and took the next exit...

2003 RSX-S
Injen CAI
DC Sports Race Header
Hondata K-Pro (custom tune)
Greddy Evolution TT
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket (keeps IAT's lower and the Aluminum manifold a lot cooler)

Cool,

I really like RSX-S's. I love that transmission. I almost bought one instead of the SS/SC.
The RSX-S is one of the only Hondas I take seriously aside from the NSX and s2000. I havent raced a an S with anything other than a fartcan and intake though so I have yet to lose, but I know theres some out there that can hand me my bottom....

Good stuff. Race a stage 2 now.

You realize it's "YOU'RE SLOW" not "YOUR SLOW".. ..and his set up is FAR from slow. But even so he will rape just about everyone with the turbo kit. It's gonna be nasty on the highway.

One of my friends did that, when from I/H/E and a 100 shot to a turbo kit. Right now it is at 6 psi with a Guardian management system, and that thing flies. He is still gettin it all together, and will be able to turn the boost up even more, but right now he catches me at about 90 and blows past me.

One of my friends dad has a RSX Type-S with a CAI. I ran him a few times when I was 100% stock and it wasn't catching up at 100mph.

So this race was through 1 gear only? Sounds like he was in the wrong gear. Due to much more low end torque (even stock), he should've had the initial jump out in front. With only 215whp, I wouldn't see you catching up or staying in front either. Good kill on the driver either way.

Sorry, I had to. Sounds like you have a fairly quick ride, any 1/4 mile times?

I don't see why nobody has put a Garrett GT35 turbo on their cobalts that wants to turbo...it's good for ridiculous numbers...like 4-600 hp. If I remember reading correctly.
