05 rsx type s vs 05 cavalier ss

so i was driving back from the mall on rt9 in poughkeepsie, ny. im just cruising nicely in 6th gear driving easy and this little annoying shmuck pulls up next to me in his cobalt ss with a big wing in the back, pulling an extremely ricer move by doing a fly-by and revving it like its something special. im like "what the holy hell in employee discount just happened?" so he slows down and i look at him like the moron he is. im not really impressed, as his little supercharger whines while he looks at me. eventually me and the tool in the red car get to a light, my rsx just finally got its dc sports race header, injen cai, and a dc sports exhuast, so im actually feeling kind of anxious right now to embarass this kid. we line up and the light turns green. honestly i was suprised. this kid in the cobalt pulls ahead in first and and mildly in second. thank god for my vtec otherwise i would have lost. my 3rd gear visciously pulls my car ahead, then fourth, then fifth. i look into my rear view and there he is, swallowing his pride becuase he just lost to a naturally aspirated 2 liter acura with bolt-ons. its funny becuase i just recently saw a cobalt ss, red, in dutchess county that was for sale and posted on this forum..... could it be him? who knows? but maybe he too, lost to a honda or an acura recently as well.....

ps.... have fun... its true...i have witnesses.

I have raced 3 rsx-s' and smoked them all. Any car can be made fast, but I agree doing the fly by rev thing is annoying as hell, I've had people do the same to me. The rsx is the best looking sport compact from the factory in my opinion, but the Cobalt SS has the best motor under the hood for mods, track records prove this on a weekend basis. Ecotec owns land speed records, and track records in multiple classes.

Wow... thats gotta be one of the gayest stories ever.... whether its true or not... the only good thing about that message was the: "what the holy hell in employee discount just happened?" quote... kinda funny...

Otherwise... you and your witnesses... can blow it out your @$$...

Now now, don't get me wrong... I am not question the validity of his story... just that fact that he comes on here swing all this BS... Calling it a 05 Caviler SS and such...

He wants to tell a story fine... I encourage him... kills deaths etc its all good.

But to sit there behind his comptuer and run all this BS...

im not trying to be a troll... im just saying what happened. the ecotec is a very good motor.... dont get me wrong, but magazines all over the place praise the k20 for the power it makes for what it has. nobody can knock that. its a 2 liter with 210hp. what american sport compact does has the same hp per liter stock?????

as far as the cavalier comment... i just wanted to get a rise out of everyone... no disrespect though lol

Honda does not have a clue how to rate HP. They dyno at like 180 hp! Even with your mods, a person that can drive an SS would smoke your Type-S. Good kill though, I hate ricer fly-bys also. They do call them ricer fly-bys for a reason, Ricer! J/K

Your first post to a forum which is on a website where the featured car is the one you beat ? The only thing worse than a troll is a stupid troll. The Rsx is a pretty cool car ( a few members here have them), and when you are old enough to drive, I strongly suggest you look into getting one. Until them keep getting money from your parents for you bus pass and try to do something with the rest of this week. School starts soon and other than the creative writing class the rest of grade 9 will be tough on you.

the whole incident was the "catalyst" to me signing up. i like the cobalt ss, the regular ones are really gay. i was actually looking for one prior to me picking up my rsx becuase my father is actually a gm employee and he loves his old school chevys. lol nothing better then the discount... mind you this was before gm introduced it to the public....

Lets hear from your witnesses, lets see a video too.

Thanks for wasting my time with your unsubstantiated claim.

hmmmm 5th gear you got to, how fast did you guys go up to, i am thinking with ur 143 stock torque which cant be to much higher now since that is even being overrated, i would think i higher revs and gear SS would pull, i do all the time on my friends type s

Hmmmm, how about the CobaltSS?? GM rated at 205hp on a 2.0L but actually putting down more HP to the wheels than your 2.0L 210hp engine. Not knocking the RSX at all. It was my 2nd choice but because of my GM points it was tough to not go with the SS/SC. As others have said we have some great members on our site w/some very nice RSX's (DC2NV comes to mind) but this post just screams "Troll". Or...you raced one of those 'fake' SS/SC's we are starting to see around....

as an rsx-s owner myself, i shook my head while reading your post. i'm sure you are just a troll giving rsx's a bad name by your lame posting. have some respect for other cars. i personally think street racing is lame. in my eyes you and that guy you raced should have been pulled over or wrapped around a telephone poll.

i read a question of someone asking if he had hondata. hondata reflash is not available for the '05's as of yet but he can get k-pro w/ an adaptor harness to work for his '05.

thanks SS_Canuck for the nice words. good to know some members here have respect for who people are and not on what they drive.

oh yeah, codyss you are the most disrespectful lil kid on this site.

See now those are two people that can drive a car, and that have an Rsx. No Rsx with headers (which you shouldnt get that soon, cause your flow is probably already good enough), a CAI which maybe gets you 5-6 hp gains, and exhaust is going to smoke a car that runs a 5.9-6.1 second 0-60. Im sorry.

im not bashing cobalts...not at all... for the price, they are an incredible value. the only thing i dont understand is why are cobalt drivers so cocky and arrogant that their cars can beat virtually anything on the street???
